I wouldn't read much into it. Idra is very good friends with Machine and Incontrol, and Incontrol was telling his stream viewers to watch it when it was posted.

But I'm looking forward to him casting, and I'm really happy he is going to continue laddering.
Good luck Idra.
Glad that IdrA's going to continue laddering, at least he's not completely retiring, so I hope to see him back to competitive Starcraft 2 again in the future (If possible).
When SC2 first started, I felt IdrA grasped the metagame earliest and popularised zerg macro. In his streams (beginning of SC2), he always defended sufficiently till max supply and then killed his opponent.
Sad to see that you will no longer be a competitive player, I must admit this is truly an end of an era, for there has been no greater moments in all my of SC2 history than when you have been winning. Greg, if you read this, I just hope you find it in you to secretly practice to be a progamer and win the GSL out of nowhere ^_^ <3
Regardless, I feel like this subscription feels like a really delicious substitution for now, and I can't wait for my chance to play with Greg

Monster, Razer, Kingston HyperX and Astro, know I will never buy from you again.
Sponsors shouldn't get away with this shit
You can't be serious, please tell me you're kidding? Players shouldn't get away with insulting the community that supports them. I like Idra, but EG did what they had to do. It's not like this is the first or only incident.

I can understand your frustration over this, but at the end they are the ones who make this whole pro gaming living style that IdrA and others enjoy possible. I mean, he got good money from them so I can understand that they want a more professional behavior. After all IdrA did this to himself. He even said that the motivation to train hard wasn't present because of his high contract which assured him the money anyway, despite his performance.
I think it's a problem that a lot of well paid western progamers go through. They need to change their mentality, it works in other sports. Look at lots of European soccer pros, they get tons of money and still give their best. They play even though they are not really fit, even let them give injections to not feel the pain during the play. That's something the E-Sports scene has to overcome if it really wants to be attractive to sponsors and fans as well.
