I heard of this from a talk show and I thought it would be fun to share this here in a gaming site in which mostly we have people who are interested with science fiction. I think this is safe to assume because most of us love games based on science fiction (starcraft/diablo/warcraft/DoTA<1/2>).
When you were a child, you are messing with your imagination or got influenced by science fiction/ media. What were the super powers you think you have or could have(if you would practice or really try hard to concentrate)?
Here are my list of super human power I thought as a child would be possible.
1. I believe that if I would really concentrate I can.. ignore any pain, enhance physical strenght, can have telekinesis, shoot energy beams generated by my body's energy.
2. If a dead person would really try hard to communicate to me as a ghost, it is possible.
3. Can somehow control time be a few seconds / slow time in my head to think ahead.
4. If I close my eyes and stay quiet, I can be invisible (for my feared monsters).
I am just curious on what you might have imagined or believed was possible. I am assuming you did this as a child because if not that would be just ridiculous. 
Lets have fun remembering how funny we were and how good was our imagination.

I think I watched the same show, and it got me thinking too, so I've spent a little while trying to think up everything I had thought when I was a kid already.
1: Levitation when lying in bed and focussing on it.
2: A magic word which could slow down traffic.
3: The ability to see what someone will look like when they die by concentrating on a photo.

Your #1 practically. I guess that came from watching a lot of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z
Minus the telekinesis, though.

I imagined I could make people in posters and pictures move. Not really much of a superpower.

Mind controlling a random person somewhere in the world to commit crimes you didn't want to commit yourself.
Yeah I was a creepy little kid with issues.

Sometimes when I was a kid I tried using "the force" from starwars to move objects.

I didnt have any super power. On the other hand, I had this super vehicle that could turn into a car/plane/boat/submarine at will. Quite handy really :p

I longed for the thrill and danger of mortality. Life just felt empty and meaningless with so much power, like there was nothing left worth striving for.

I also wished as a kid that I read minds or be invisible.

I liked to pretend I was Luke Skywalker or Zorro most of the time, so I guess it was kind of a mix between having force powers and being a great acrobat/swordsman. I also had a phase where me and my friends ran around pretending we were DBZ characters a lot of running around, jumping, and hadouken'ing.
I don't think I ever thought of it as possible, or I don't remember it that way. I just like to goof off.

Hell yeah! I've always wanted to be able to pause time, though most of the uses that immediately come to mind are inappropriate or straight up wrong hahaha.

Who hasn't imagined being able to shoot energy beams from your body (solely because of watching too much DBZ)?
Although not something I ever thought I would be able to have. I always would have liked to be able to rewind time to an earlier point so that I could do anything I wanted and rewind time so I wouldn't have to face the consequences. I've actually had nightmares where I had this power. I would kill people (holy shit right?) and use my powers to rewind to while they were still alive. Then inevitably one of the times I would try to rewind, my power stopped working and I was fucked lol.
Edit: This was featured in Cyanide and Happiness like a week ago too.

I fantasized about beeing able to build a functional airplane in which i could fly around.
I was going to build it in my garage out of wood, and an old trolley. It was going to be powered by tieing cans of hairspray together and lighting them.
turns out that doesnt work.

I always wanted to have super speed like the Flash when I was a kid. Now that I think about it controlling time (rewind, stopping, etc.) would be the most useful.
