This is the greatest writeup I've read. Thank you so much for this ! I didn't followed in live the sAviOr era, since I started to follow the pro-gaming scene in 2008. So it's really interesting. I didn't realised how much sAviOr was a monster.

I re-read this since the second part is out and god damn it is such a good read. I understand why everyone doesn't like sAviOr but he was a genius that was on a COMPLETELY different level than everyone else. Its sad that he isn't allowed to play in any esports anymore, personally I think serving time in jail is punishment enough. Why deny us his (potentially) amazing play because he made a dumb mistake when he was younger. Everyone makes dumb mistakes, and very few actually get punished like he did for it.'

Great read, 10/10 will most likely read again sometime.

I saw a news post about part 2 of this article so I knew I had to read part 1 for my own intrest and im sure glad I did. This article was really intriuging, and I am finally able to grasp just how amazing Savior really was.

Despite Savior's scanda... he will always reside in my heart as one of the greatest. I started watching BW when Anytime walked the royal road... and soon thereafter, sAviOr rose to dominance. How he mangled terran was such a joy because too many times has terran denied protoss their glory!

He was a hero to all the races that weren't terran fans... And reading this article made me rewatch some of Jaedong's greatest games (jaedong vs flash Rush hour III)

This is one of the writeup I have saved as favorite. When I want to remember the great times of BW I always check this thread, "the famous victories of Lee Jae Dong" and "MBCGame: In Memoriam".

Agreed 100%. I started watching the same exact time too as Anytime tore through the OSL in splendid fashion. When he lost to Nada in his second OSL, I was absolutely crushed. When Savior crushed Nada's soul, it was awesome. Despite the fact that he tarnished his legacy with match-fixing, there will always be a spot in my heart because of his pure dominance over the OP race that is terran. The only time I rooted against him was when Nal_ra would play against Savior. There is not a game I cheered on quite as much as Savior vs Nal_ra on Sin Peaks of Beak du (one of the most epic PvZ of all time)

God I miss the days of Anytime, Nal_ra, and Savior. Bisu came along and ruined it all! (It was great to watch Lecaf win their one proleague championship, and seeing Bisu vs Anytime's epic match on Nemesis).

Anyways, scumbag move on Savior, but can't really hate him for the years of joy he brought BW fans worldwide. We needed a villain/hero (depending on what race/who you rooted for), and he really did his job well.

I would like to thanks Ver again for his FANTASTIC article. I will be translating part2 starting next week. (i always cut it in part since it's too long for me to do in one time).

sAviOr should be able to come back. he isnt the only one that did things like that and they came back an there not half as good as sAviOr it so annoying -.-
