But it's okay, you probably just made this decision as part of your venting, hopefully you will change your mind about this. For the rest, good luck with your future and all, hopefully shit will turn out well.

that's not the situation here, but i wouldn't have gunned anyone down here. what i would do in the future is this: guy approaches me, puts a gun at me. hit the floor, my own gun out. he sees it. chooses to fire at me. return fire. clip his foot, situation done ^thats like super super stupid, but thats what i meant, regardless of how dumb

Sorry to hear about this. I'm guessing you weren't insured for this type of event?

And to the first sentence: I highly doubt that, but then again, you know yourself better than I do. Although it would be a very strange coincidence that you'd have a psychological disorder that would allow you to "feel fine" after killing someone (after anything less than a considerable amount of time). I think you're still venting way too much btw, so discussing this doesn't make too much sense...maybe in a few days? EDIT: I see you don't want to get a gun anymore, which I'm glad about. Again, good luck with your future, I hope everything pans out somehow.

Again, good luck with your future, I hope everything pans out somehow. You don't need a psychological disorder to kill a person and be fine. That implies something is broken in your head. You merely need to believe, with both heart and mind, that killing him was the right thing to do in that situation and that there is no reason to be sad or anything that someone like that in a situation like that is dead by your hand. There are many situations in which the objectively optimum outcome is to kill another. Believing in that, with all your heart and mind, is not a disorder.
