They'd be selling out kind-of but taking a lesson from a more successful game like LoL is what they need to do if they want to be the top eSport. The new XP thing is meant for precisely that: Unlocking new skins, animations and such.

This looks certainly distracting. Glowing blades also look too magicy not sci-fi like.

And since I play on low details anyways (my PC can't handle anything else...), I don't mind it that much. The only thing that bothers me right now is that I switched races once again (to protoss) and therefore will not be able to actually use the skin for now. The screenshot on page 1 made me curious- there are going to be skins for the overlord and zergling as well? Is there any information as to how you unlock those yet? edit: Keep in mind guys, it's still beta. They probably implemented those skins early so that there is time to adjust, should they get too much negative feedback on the glowing stuff. edit 2: OK I found the thread on skins in HotS: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=395247

oh okay. Do you have this picture of Kerrigan in the background in bigger resolution? I wanted to have detailed one for a painting but there aren't any real big ones on the inet. Only snippets

If so, then this feature is fine, and motivating for casual fun! If not, then it is still a little distracting. I'm not saying it's a big thing, just that it has the potential to be slightly annoying.
