How do you feel about bringing your team the victory?
I am so glad that I was able to bring my team the victory with my two wins. Even more important, I was able to snap my ZvZ losing streak. I feel so good because I was able to win in a ZvZ.
In order to end your losing streak with ZvZ, did you come to the studio after much preparation?
I practiced a lot. I prepared with my teammates.
Against Samsung KHAN, you lose against Sola.
Losing to Sola didn't shake me up. When it comes to ZvP and ZvT, I am confident even against the strongest players in the world. However, I know very well that my ZvZs are an issue.
What are your issues with ZvZ?
Even as of now, I have never liked playing ZvZs. Since I dislike the match up, I avoid practicing it. The end result of avoiding practice like that meant that I would often have to face problems like being supply blocked and messing up my timing attacks.
With today's victory, it seems like you'll be showing a different side of from here on out.
I am glad that I was able to take down ZerO who took down Jaedong. I was able to show the people that I was able to win because I practiced.
Were you disappointed by the fact that you couldn't attend IEM Katowice?
I was happy when I got through the qualifiers but I couldn't attend the main tournament so it's true that I was bummed. And then I noticed that of all the players that qualified, around fifteen of them were all Zergs. I hate ZvZs so I think missing out on this tournament wasn't all that bad.
How much did you prepare on Proleague's new maps?
I've played them all. I think Neo Planet S and Neo Arkanoid are good maps. Neo Caldeum and Neo Bifrost have a lot of pathways. When it comes to those two maps, it's imperative that I know of every available pathway whenever I engage in battles so I falter a little bit on the comprehensive part. For Neo Planet S and Neo Arkanoid, I am ready. Send me out.
What kind of role do you want to take on for Proleague?
I just want to win (laughs). I want to become the soul (PartinG of EG-TL?) of my team.
You have GSL Code S ahead of you.
I am satisfied with my group. I have two Terrans but I am confident in my ZvTs. Although I am worried because my opponents have two weeks to prepare for our match ups as opposed to overseas tournaments where we all have to improvise as we go along. I think the chances of me grabbing the championship are high but realistically, I am looking at the semi finals as my goal.
Anything else you would like to say?
I am sincerely grateful to my team for giving me the opportunity to participate in Proleague. I want to thank our team's manager, our coaching staff, and my teammates for helping me with practice. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors Raid Call, Monster, Kingston HyperX, and Intel Extreme.
