Now that the finals of Shinhan3 are over and we have our three champions and runner-ups, the stage is set for the Shinhan Masters Tournament.
(If you read on, prepare to read some spoilers of the Shinhan3 finals)
For those who are confused or unaware, Shinhan Bank originally announced that they will be hosting 3 back-to-back Starleagues (Shinhan1, 2, 3), and after that they will hold a Masters Tournament, that will single out the ultimate champion.
The Masters Tournament will consist of 4 players. 3 Players of the Champions of Shinhan 1~3, and a 4th Player of who wins the Pre-Masters Tournament.
The Pre-Masters Tournament, which will be held on the 5th of March, will be consisting of 3 of the Runner-Ups, plus 5 players who had the most points cumulated from the 3 Starleagues. In this case, since NaDa is a champion as well as a runner up, we only have 2 runner-ups, and 6 players who advance through points... which is YellOw[ArnC].
The Pre-Masters will be an 8-man Tournament, all bo3. The Masters will be a 4-man Tournament, all bo5.
To make things simpler, look at this:
Shinhan Pre-Masters Tournament Date: March 5th ~ 7th Format: Best of 3, Single Elimination Tournament
Players Ranks: 1. ChoJJa *Runner-up of Shinhan1 2. AnyTime *Runner-up of Shinhan2 3. IriS - 70pts (approx.) 4. ZergMan - 68pts (approx.) 5. GooDFriend - 51pts 6. Midas - 48pts 7. GoRush - 46pts 8. YellOw[ArnC] - 40pts
Match Ups: (Matched by ranks) ChoJJa (Z) vs YellOw[ArnC] (Z) ZergMan (Z) vs GooDFriend (T) IriS (T) vs Midas (T) AnyTime (P) vs GoRush (Z)
Shinhan Masters Tournament Date: March 17th Format: Best of 5, Single Elimination Tournament Prize: $25,000 (Champion)
Players: Shinhan 1 Winner - Casy (T) Shinhan 2 Winner - NaDa (T) Shinhan 3 Winner - sAviOr (Z) Shinhan Pre-Masters Winner
(If you are wondering why Oov and July do not get to participate, since they were Champion and Runner-Up for Shinhan 2005, it's because Shinhan Bank and OGN did not decide to start this thing until AFTER Shinhan 2005... so, that tournament does not count)

hmm, single elimination for the masters tournament is somewhat disappointing i guess.
By the way have they announced the bracket structure for the masters itself? (ie who faces who in the first round - my guess is "no"

Nice, thanks for info.
I predict either Iris or Midas to advance than Savior to win it all =D

God, Zergman vs Goodfriend again! I swear they've played like 10 times. Iris might just smack the hell out of Midas. I'd say his biggest threat comes from the winner of Anytime vs Gorush, or Yellow[arnc]

GTFO with your logic!
P.S. - You still playin Guild Wars?

I hope Anytime makes it to the Masters.

ChOJJa GF Iris GoRush
I think it'd be funny if Iris made Masters, then we'd have repeat of last sems.
But I want GORUSH to go to sems and win the whole thing. GF is nice too.

Thanks for the info about the masters tournament. I was a bit confused about the format and size of this tournament.

Not entirely true; Yarnc's ZvZ is mediocre, while Chojja (if he's playing well) has ZvZ on par with Savior himself. Also, I think Gorush vs. Anytime depends on whether or not the players will have their A-game (ie. not how they were this past OSL) ready.
Predictions: Chojja Goodfriend Midas (c'mon Midas, redeem yourself!) Anytime

Too bad for July
But this time i'll go with AnyTime

What about maps? To be fair they should use maps from all 3 tournaments.
