Everyone excited with MLG Dallas comming in approx 5 hours? I guess we all are! :D
But well, as I'm a bit of a noob in Starcraft there are somethings that I don't allow myself to write since I can't give a solid argument.
Anyway, anyone that have a bit of a knowledge like me about SC knows Koreans are like Brazil in football... So I was looking to TeamLiquid MLG preview (idk how to call it) and even if I knew the top 3 players would be Koreans I was amazed when I saw like 15 Koreans on top.
So, some questions and debate:
1.- In Korea, as I know, SC is almost a national sport, that's why Kespa exist. If we want to be that good for SC in Europe and Americas so we "western" can balance Koran power, what should we do?
2.- How would you help (or how do you help currently) to create interest in your community for the 'eSports' in games like Dota, Starcraft or some FPS?
I won't give a big opinon in question 1, but I don't think we need to ask for the goverment to create an organization, it's more about the culture. But as I said, I don't have enough resources to give that solid argument, just saying that after making a game like SC big, the goverment can help.
About question 2, all I can say that I always post on Facebook videos, links to streams and post of my blog about a specific topic. I started to work like a month ago and I haven't said to no one yet that I'm so interested in Dota 2 eSports... btw is not like I have so much time now to read and watch :p... Also, I want to shoutcast Dota 2 matches in the near future, so I'm starting to save up some money to get a super pc. As Day9 said, you should always feel proud of what u love (or something like that).
"Not Korea and probably a fake, but who knows, if you favourite player is giving SC lessons would you go? day9 does something similar."
See you later!!!
