If you believe anything chezinu has to say at face value it can only be because you haven't played with him much. As an aside (and this is more pointed at crossfire, who has a terrible abomination of a post a little earlier), if you're going to be gone for an hour, instead of following the game, make your posts freaking legible instead. like, if you have a huge case with a bunch of paragraphs, just write it in normal english, post the thing, and wait an hour.
The game is fine and all, and if you want to banter and go back and forth, do it. But the terrible lobstrosity of a post that crossfire puked into the thread is the kind of thing that doesn't help. There are times to break the rules. In a way, chezinu knows this better than anyone here, but hes too busy being chezinu to lead town.
breaking the rules is not a scum move, any more than simply not posting for an hour is a scum move. tons of people have 1+ hour gaps in between their craptacularly bad alphabetical posts-- you should just make decent, good posts instead if you're not in the middle of a conversation.

zoning of players into their role categories puts you right there with him crossfire:

Anyways, regarding BKE. BroodKing's initial vote was "a joke", but he still had to vote and had to explain it.

Cross, his assertion that pretending to vote is a pet peeve of his is fine, but upon re-reading the thread in context, I get a scummy vibe. Doing things like explaining his mentality AFTER he voted and AFTER people called him out seems like he's trying to keep things from spiraling out of control. Entering the thread with :

Followed by never acknowledging what the "slip" was and simply pawning it off as a joke is scummy to me. Going to leave my vote on him for now.
Hmm, BH makes some good points about breaking rules for the sake of posting in a clear and understandable manner. I'd like to think I've done both with this post.

Just to clarify, Hopeless, I did claim; but did I do that to take the heat off of blues, or am I actually a blue trying to claim VT to sneak under the radar (really over the radar with the way I've been posting)? Keep on guessing because I might not have even read my role PM myself. Lol. Maybe I should do that. Novel idea I had, to play without checking my role PM. Oh the possibilities!

Pooh to you, blazing. Queue's are meant to be stood in, as are rules meant to be followed. Rule breaking that is purposeful goes against the spirit of the game. Since you called my post a terrible abomination, I will try to make my posts more readable, but I also ask that you play WLIIA mafia and not just mafia. That is why I joined this game, because playing WLIIA while playing mafia seemed awesome!

Ugh. Very much do I hate this concept, since it inherently involves playing against your win con. Wonce Drazerk did this in a game I was in and I did nothing that game but rage at him also have fun starting your next post with X person after me bwahaha.
|
Xfire has now checked his role PM, so his win condition is clear to him. You will no longer see that from me because I guess I do have the possibility of playing against my role PM. Zorry for that, strong.

And to answer Hopeless who brought up a good point on brood. Brood's motives were veiled in the beginning and not revealed until pressured; that is true. Continuing information I still need before I place my vote on him.
|
Do make an attempt to clear the poetry out btw. Even if it is fun, its bad for us to have to sift through posts that are difficult enough as it is to get a clear read from.
Fair warning, that "I didn't check my PM stunt" has put you under severe suspicions. Going to be scrutinizing you very strongly. Hope your posting shapes up in the meantime.

I was under the impression that we were going to play who's line is it anyways instead of mafia. Just imagine being an audience member who gets to decide the topic in which ours actors play out.
|
It is still a mafia game, but with a lot of whose-line twists!
|
Keep in mind we're ALL supposed to be playing. Looking at the signup list, we're still missing gonzaw and djagulingu. Might want to keep an eye on them. Now, I'm not saying we should vote them, I just want to make sure people are aware of it so that they don't lurk all game.
On topic then, Chezinu, have you seen anything that you would call scummy so far? Party games aside, we're still playing mafia. Quote someone if it pleases you.

Regarding straight-up inactivity, it is not a town or a scum-tell on its own. So, yeah, they haven't posted, but that just means they haven't posted. This can happen to both scum and town, and it's not a good move for either-- but of course we have to keep our eyeballs on them. Until I hear from them, they wont be getting my vote, barring last-minute delurk shenanigans.
|
Varying degrees of scumreads do come from lurking, but you're right in that its still a null tell at this point. When they get here, I still expect a reasonable contribution to the thread. Xecution of the lurkers will be in order if they fail to produce, or even make an appearance.

Y/Kay, just woke up, so let's kick some musician's ass!
Z/Look, this BKE issue seems to get quite a lot of "attention" from other people that are jumping on it. A/Mmhhh, it just seemed like a joke and nothing else, and a derp from BKE's part. B/No, that's not alignment indicative at all, both town and scum can post "jokes" and derp right at the beginning of the game, although I always get the feeling townies do it more often. C/Oh, I think I've only seen more "veteran" players play scum and act jolly and expose themselves right at the beginning of the game (Mattchew, Risen, or Bill Murray and those kind of guys), and for the moment I don't really suspect a scum BKE would do that.
D/Well, there's not much to go by now though. E/Xfire seems eager enough to post and seems to do it without fear, but damn some of his "rhyming" posts are just full of fluff. Yikes, I guess if he's really entertained by this posting restriction he could get carried on; but really if you are town Xfire you should not try to post filler just to "satisfy the posting restriction".
F/Zoolander, one of the things that caught my eye was Keirathi's behaviour:
On October 31 2012 12:22 Keirathi wrote: 'Sup, everyone. Time to get rid of those pesky musicians.
G/AH! Crossfire already mentioned something about it. H/But here Keirathi is showing eagerness to start scumhunting, but doesn't follow up with it at all until called out.
On October 31 2012 13:33 Keirathi wrote:Show nested quote +On October 31 2012 12:44 Crossfire99 wrote:Gosh, what have we here? On October 31 2012 12:22 Keirathi wrote: 'Sup, everyone. Time to get rid of those pesky musicians. How have you not posted on what has happened so far? I seem to remember the talkative little townie in Aperature that wasn't afraid to comment on anything. Keirathi was enjoying some Diablo 3 with a buddy. Looking back over the posts since I chimed it, it doesn't look like theres really a whole lot to comment on. Maybe its just me, but while this posting restriction is very entertaining, its quite hard to say exactly what you mean.
I/Cool, maybe the Diablo 3 part is true, it still doesn't justify him not posting any thoughts at all in his 1st post. J/D, I'd have thought a townie so eager to catch scum like he did would spend at least 10 seconds posting what's on his mind at least.
K/Eh, not only that, but that above post is just filler, saying there's nothing to go on and saying the post restriction is hard. Fine, it's true that there's not much to go on about, but I expect more from town Keirathi. L/Gah, like in Aperture 2, town Keirathi starts the game with a bang; there he posted an "obviously shitty" case with his first post just to get some discussion going. M/He didn't care about "there's not much to go on about" there, he just cared in sparking discussion. N/In here, Keirathi is just passive as hell, and doesn't seem to care about starting or participating in any discussion
On November 01 2012 00:14 Keirathi wrote: Do you care to share why you think it would be a good idea to out our blues early in day 1, Chezinu?
O/Joot; here's Keriathi's last post; which again is just filler. P/Keirathi doesn't seem to care about other stuff going on, like the BKE vote, or other people's posts, and just seems hung on Chezinu's claim...? Q/Like, not even that, but even that question of his seems unimportant (since we know most likely Chezinu wouldn't respond it and Chezinu is Chezinu) which makes me wonder why he thought asking that question was better than....I don't know...commenting on anything else that was going on.
R/Maybe I'm getting too excited here, but for now I think Kei's the best bet for scum:
##Vote: Keiarthi
S/Now, I'd like everybody's opinion on Keirathi. T/Oh, haven't looked into other people either (BH, Hopeless, S&B, etc) but I didn't see anything that caught my attention. U/Pikachu I'd like those guy's thoughts as well.
V/Pre-Edit: Xuck, this posting restriction is getting annoying when someone posts right before you :/
|
Oh for fucks sake I forgot to put "F/Yikes"
*sigh*
|
So did we start or we're just fucking around? To be honest, I don't give a fuck Uhh ##Vote: Chezinu We should vote for chezinu because every single time there is a storm in the US and Chezinu is playing a game of mafia, he's always a scumbag.

Your idea to put letters in front of your sentences is a nice idea gonzaw, but I don't like it; it's too inelegant. Zing, I just realized that you got ninja'd and put those letters in front, so you didn't lose your post; nice save (too bad you misplaced the F). And I do believe you make good points on Keirathi. By his posting, he has revealed very little. Cutting to the chase, I like Keirathi as scum more than anyone else at the moment. Doh, I won't vote for him yet until he has had a chance to prove himself, but if i don't like his contribution when he comes back, I'll vote for him barring any other obvious scummy behavior.
Eh, this WLIIA mafia. Fluff n stuff with this alphabet thing is the name of the game. Hurray, I will try to keep my fluffy sentences to a minimum, but I will use them to ninja proof my posts because I like that solution better than gonzaw's.
