Honestly think Painuser was the only good one in the whole thing. He took both sides of the argument of both sides and actually tried to keep things civil. Wait, seriously? Destiny ragequitting with 'you suck at Starcraft' wasn't "making it personal"? I really don't think you followed the conversation at all - which is understandable, there was a lot of yelling over one another - and are just speaking to your bais.
You most definitely missed Idra telling Destiny to "shut the fuck up" then, along with Incontrol bringing up how Destiny showed his dick in pics. Pretty sure that was one of, if not THE, first thing he said.
And I'm definitely not speaking out of my bias. I've hated Destiny for some of the shit hes done, but I believe he had valid points. Too bad the three of them were stuck on their high horses with their heads stuck up their ass to actually try and have a discussion with him.

I think the old boys club did this to themselves when they got someone on the show only to belittle him, this whole "possibly for good" shit is merely a way to alleviate blame from themselves and make us look guilty and the ones who have the problem holy shit, how can you look at this community and NOT think that it IS the problem? That's to bad. I still enjoyed this show and the last episode I hope it comes back!
Maybe we can blame the LoL community for this to make the sc2 community look less sad!

Ok yeah, before Destiny came on iNcontroL was kinda ripping on Destiny. He's done that to everyone and people generally don't get butthurt about it.
It was actually Destiny that ignored everything that IdrA and iNcontroL were trying to say. The EG guys actually agreed with most of what Destiny was calling for, largely because THEY have been calling for the same stuff for years. They simply disagreed with Destiny's assertion that ONLY Blizzard could save SC2. Destiny then accused them of defending Blizzard, which is ridiculous. Then it went downhill. There was no discussion to be had. The EG guys understand Destiny's argument, but thought his post was stupid. Destiny thought that by disagreeing with the idiotic way he said what he had to say, they were somehow defending Blizzard. At that point it really went downhill. IdrA's burn was pretty brutal, but Destiny is a pretty tough guy and should be able to take what he gives.
Go watch iNcontroL on Root's show, Decision Making. I'm sure the vod is up somewhere. He makes the same arguments, but in a much calmer fashion.

Lol how sensitive can this community get that they would contact the sponsors over some insulting and a high five. The people who do that are probably the same ones who use adblock, post in all the drama threads, never thank sponsors for supporting a team/event, and have never paid for any merchandise or tournament (except maybe GSL). I mean I guess you can call yourselves fans of the scene but hopefully you realize that it's lip service only.
mememolly, who in this thread is so quick to denounce the ITG hosts, is a great example of someone whose net contribution to the community is probably negative. Found several posts from someone with the name "mememolly" on a certain hacking site, in a thread titled "External Maphack 1.5.3", where he talks about some errors he's getting. So please, stop being self-righteous in regards to the ITG hosts, because you clearly have no moral ground to stand on when it comes to supporting this game and community.

It's so self destructive, it's really sad. Every major sport has tons of drama and it makes for good stories, as much as people complain about them. All the "drama" threads are usually filled with posts and garner tons of attention. People need to stop crying and thinking the community is too dramatic and realize drama sells and it's never going to go away. Also, completely agree with mememolly. I never said that Drama was bad, drama can be quiet entertaining. It's just bad when the community thinks it has to react, force their opinion and harass pro players/sponsors/etc. I think the only people msging sponsors about this incident (which is surprising, given how many people are pissed off and how effective msging sponsors are) are the fuckers from SRS. For that, Geoff has only himself to blame for making that reddit post.
Just really sorry that things happened the way they did.

This community is why I as a person with considerable extra income to invest wherever I want will not be putting money into it. It wants to slit its own throat so **** it no point in investing in something that wants to kill itself.

I was gonna have a long and reasoned response, but honestly I don't care. This kind of back and forth is shitty for everyone. I heart djWHEAT. He's done so fucking much for every community he's touched it's unreal, and it sucks to see the pack of ungrateful, ignorant assholes that we've become leaping all over him. The writing's been on the wall for a long time, but this latest thing, imo, really confirms it.
The problem with Starcraft 2 isn't Blizzard, or unlimited unit selection, or Dustin Browder, or even Activision. It's you, and it's been you and people like you all along.

The VOD of Decision Making Ep. 5 is here. Definitely an interesting watch, and good to hear from someone who's a bit less public.

This show has been going on for 18 months and 57 episodes. 90 pages, one fourth of the whole thread, is dedicated to the last one which was aired 5 days ago.
Think about it.

I agree. The day after the incident, on Lo3, Wheat was like "dont yell because the community doesnt like when it happens". Yeah, we are the ones to blame after their childish behavior.

"The old boys club"? Were the Illuminati involved too?

I think ruining Lo3 by sulking was worse than a bunch of screaming on ITG between 3 people who are notorious for drama. I don't know if this was due to it creating a bunch of problems behind the scene or what, but as someone who has to stay up past midnight to watch Lo3 I was very disappointed and found it to be childish, and the whole 'possibly for good' tweet is the same. This isn't how an adult should deal with problems. And I like djWheat but quite frankly he should be used to what certain parts of the eSports community is like.

Might've been incontrol. He said he didn't want to do SOTG because of this stuff and then did it right after on ITG. He may be done with these shows all together, but just a guess.
Also, I find it HIGHLY unlikely that djwheat will just stop doing itg and lo3 forever (2/3 of his shows, undoubtedly more popular than kot) because of this drama. It's where djwheat im assuming makes some of his income and probably atleast enjoys doing these shows.
No way he'd want that, then he would be worthless to his team

Everyone who is siding with djwheat should go watch that VOD again, it's absolutely fucking disgusting behaviour.
