It was supposed to be private between two friends, which makes the context completely different. It's a shame it ended up going public like this.

as far as we know, stephano hasn't harmed anybody innocent until proven guilty, remember?
if someone was abused, i guess stephano would have been arrested before leaving france

So here is how things went with eg management.
Hey stephano, we jsut got an email from one of our sponsors, he received a screenshot of you making a joke about a 14 year old. If this was anybody else then one of our sponsor that sent us this we wouldnt do anything but sicne we have a reputation to preserve, we have to suspend you for the remainder of this month. While this ludicrous drama appeases, we will send you to korea for training.
Also... I am assuming that most people dont have many friends since they dont know what an inside joke is.
Hint: not meant for the world to understand.
I might be banned for this but seriously, you guys are a whiney bunch. A joke turns into some1 being suspended from his job and people acclaiming EG for their decision which was clearly forced.
User was temp banned for this post.

And you want to punish a young man playing video game a private joke to a friend on his free time in france with family. (like I did younger pretending my mom died at school to shock my schoolmates to see their faces and laugh at them after) And to cancel tournament, have a whole community totally disapointed, having stephano to go in korea far from his family and everything. Juste because you're american and you are a hater. Don't blame EG. Blame Stephano for making such a bad joke.

I actually like Stephano (though I didn't originally) and am very against these type of witchhunts.
I just hate that the community reacts so differently to two very similar situations simply because of who is involved. Orb was to burned at the stake for heresy against the Esports Nation, while Stephano is just a silly kid who made some lame jokes and it's all okay.
That type of double standard is not acceptable, and I assure you a large portion of this thread is perpetrating it.

americans..
You can easily kill child in others countries with bombs and laugh about that, but you cry and want to lynch ppl when you hear that a 14yo mis-educated or already-matured girl had some good time with boys.
It was a not important joke, on a non so important matter. 14yo is very different than 8yo.

hes clearly stating the obvious hypocrisy that all of you are showing, you dont care that iraki children died due to a bombing, but when some1 makes a joke about having sex with a minor. Then you go nutz.
Its actually hilarious

I don't think even in between good friends these type of jokes are usual or funny. and i grew up in a pretty ghetto place...
