I like Stephano. He is a great zerg player and has pioneered a lot of styles, especially in ZvP. I also like him because of his personality, which includes him acting like a douchebag sometimes and is always fun to watch. When he says something like, "I've already won this tournament" at WCS Europe, it just ups the stakes so much for him, since it would make him look like a fool if he lost. IMO, he just adds so much more story to the tournament than these goddamn silent foreigners and "faceless" koreans. So he said some comment that may have some sexual implication to a buddy in a PM in a fucking video game. Now people are going apeshit over it. The worst part is all the retards calling him a "rapist" when we really have no fucking idea what happened. All I want is to see more games and more funny interviews with Stephano. And I really hate all these North American "knights" circle-jerking in this thread how that French "rapist" committed terrible, terrible crimes. It's just sad, really, I'm not posting in this thread anymore. | ||

Most of them are arguing against people calling Stephano a rapist, which goes miles beyond what conclusions can be drawn from the facts and is one of the most damaging things you can say about anyone. Its not like everybody is saying Stephano should have license to do whatever he wants. And nobody is "in favour" of jokes like that. Please think a little harder about the comments you read. There are tens of different discussion strands going on here and a spectrum of views expressed on each one. You can't seriously be writing off everyone who disagrees with your totally one-dimensional and hyperbolic statement as biased idiots. | ||

Some of the 2011 Korean terrans (back when they swamped code S) might be, but many are not. Regardless, there are ways to cause drama without making some very stupid joke. If anything, I was much more sympathetic towards say Naniwa's probe rush than this. | ||

People here aren't defending Stephano making child-abuse comments. They're criticizing people who would consider that making a comment about girls of a sexual nature is something that needs to be "punished". Every single 19yo male in the world should be punished then. | ||

And you want to punish a young man playing video game a private joke to a friend on his free time in france with family. (like I did younger pretending my mom died at school to shock my schoolmates to see their faces and laugh at them after) And to cancel tournament, have a whole community totally disapointed, having stephano to go in korea far from his family and everything. Juste because you're american and you are a hater. You can easily kill child in others countries with bombs and laugh about that, but you cry when you hear that a 14yo mis-educated or already-matured girl had some good time with boys.
