If fucking Machine said something like this (which he wouldn't because he understands that he's supposed to have a certain amount of class as a representative of EG) and got suspended no one would bat an eyelash. | ||

Hopefully, Stephano learned a valuable lesson here, and this does not affect the relationship with the team too much. I'd hate to see Stephano leaving. I think the Korea trip is kind if a carrot - hopefully we see a re-energized Stephano in tournaments in a month, and a lot of streaming until then. | ||

So because these posts were made in reddit/starcraft, and srs did not like them, they decided to email EG's sponsors to punish Stephano and reddit/starcraft. This is their intent, as they actually stated it. They acted out of malice towards the SC2 community on reddit rather than actual outrage over Stephano's comments. They are celebrating this suspension of Stephano and literally sneering at 'esports people'. These guys are not even part of the SC2 community, so it is not even 'our community' that is doing this but a bunch of outsiders who attempt to police reddit. | ||

In france, A lot of young man sleep with girl of 14yo. Why? Cuz girl of 14yo pretend to be 15 or 16, they have boobs, make up. In nightclub its dark... What I am offended by is the legions of fans who think that Stephano should be above getting punished when he makes mistakes because he's the great white hope. People email sponsors, EG has to do something. Blame those who sent the emails, or blame Stephano for making a bad joke. EG didn't have a choice in the matter, and Stephano should be cognizant of what is acceptable from him. Obama doesn't whisper child abuse jokes in Biden's ear for a reason. Stephano is the biggest star in western eSports right now, he should know better. | ||

Dead baby jokes are tasteless, but not that shocking after you hear one. They are also not the same style, since they are obviously not meant to be taken seriously. Stephano's pretending to be serious about this is what created the shock value. That is why this is a practical joke or prank rather than a conventional joke. I agree that it was childish and that people wouldn't care half so much (either way) if it weren't such a famous player. | ||

No clarification on this was given. He has been to all these countries very recently and they all have different ages of consent. | ||

No doubt this is going to spark an investigation and there may be serious consequences. But I think EG has gone too soft. It's a very very stupid thing for him to say (or even do, if he did). Stephano's always been immature to say the least, him and Huk need to grow up already. | ||

For any other player it wouldn't be that big of a deal but Stephano is going to lose like 30k in tournament winnings alone if he doesn't play at all in October not to mention any other revenue he creates. Stephano tell EG to suck it and go find another team. They need you a lot more than you need them! I'm sure you could find another team to buy and match EG's contract. | ||
