There's a big big difference between "needing certain people for people to survive" and "needing certain people for a culture to survive" I look up to Snet and others. Does it mean I am more useless than them? No, not really, but that doesn't change the fact that they are spending their lives saving others. That deserves respect imo.

But one day your gonna have to forgive yourself, you can't live with that feeling of guilt for the rest of your life. Forgive yourself by thinking to yourself to you have atoned for your past actions.

If you wanted to make a difference, wouldn't preventing the problem be better? I have kidney stones and the best way to deal with them is to prevent them.

Its a way of not being selfish and doing things because they make you feel better. And the good thing about it is, it makes you feel better anyway. :D

If we didn't have academians then EMT's would still be people giving out leeches to drain bad blood. If we didn't have garbagemen, then people would still die due to sanitation issues. There's a distinction between the two needs, but in the big picture everything is relevant and people should be proud of doing something they like.
