might not have been the most popular player (probably because of artosis always trashing him) but he did do well at a point he beat MC in a pvp 3-1 when everyone thought MC would absolutely trash him, funnily enough those were his only pvp wins in KR lol

He was an unique player. Will miss him.

He had his ups and downs, sad to hear, but good luck to him in the future.

I think you missed the joke...

The first one to use carrier in GSL, bye HongUn!
drops to code b, retires. that's what sc2 is about in korea for those guys. So hard to sustain yourself if you don't post huge results
hell... it's about time?
I didn't think he would actually retire but it seemed likely since we haven't really seen him do well in anything at all lately.
Sweet dreams my sweet Carrier dispensing Touhou bro.

IdrA is still a PR powerhouse. HongUn, not so much.
It is too bad he was forced to play in the qualifiers and knock people out who wanted so badly to be in Code A.
Fun fact: HongUn was the first player ever to knock Clide (the best player in the universe) out of the GSL (in open season 1).

i dont understand why they retire? dont they have a salary just for playing? besides small tournaments that they can just walkover everyone?
Good, this will give room for Koreans who do enjoy the game. Best of luck out there.

Maybe they don't want to play a game they neither enjoy nor excel at anymore for a mediocre salary that nevertheless demands a ridiculous amount of time, effort, and stress? Are you retarded?

Lower level koreans usually only get salary on foreign teams. Most korean teams don't hava salaries.
