Hello readers! today I will be writing a specific build order for Baneling Cookies! Please enjoy this simple three part strategy and be prepared to Baneling bust all your friends and relatives.
Recipes:
LIME JELLY
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 355ml can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
5 drops green food color
2 drops yellow food color
Or 5 drops of neon green food colouring and 1 neon blue
1 package of pectin
1 tbsp of cornstarch
ICING FOR COOKIES
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. water
2 1/2 to 3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
SUGAR COOKIE DOUGH
3 cups all purpose flour (more or less, as needed)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 Lemon Zested

Equipment
1. Stove and Oven

8. non stick rubber (or silicon) spatula
9. 2 stainless steel bowls (or equivalent)

12. 2 x piping bag plus small circle tips
13. Baking sheet
14. Parchment paper
15. Saran wrap

Method
Lime Jelly Opener
Now I usually start this build off with a lime jelly opener so first things first.
LIME JELLY
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 355ml can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
5 drops green food color
2 drops yellow food color
Or 5 drops of neon green food colouring and 1 neon blue
1 package of pectin
1 tbsp of cornstarch
1. Add all liquids together into the pot followed by the pectin and sugar
2. Add a little water to the cornstarch and dissolve using your fingers
3. Add the cornstarch into the mix

4. Turn heat on to max and whisk mixture until it boils completely (Bubbles do not go away when stirring)

5. Boil for 1 minute then cool rapidly in fridge or freezer uncovered (you can stir it occasionally to make it go faster)
6. Save jelly for later (you can also make this a day in advance)

Midgame Transition
Making the cookie dough
At this stage in the game I like to transition out of my jelly opener into a more stable lemon cookie mid game you’ll find you waste vey little time.
SUGAR COOKIE DOUGH
3 cups all purpose flour (more or less, as needed)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, salted softened (2 sticks)
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 Lemon Zested
Method
1. Cream (whisk) together the butter and sugar together in a bowl

2. Add the egg and lemon zest and whisk slowly (by hand)

3. Add the flour and mix until it binds and forms a dough (do not over mix) Be careful of altitudes since it will affect the moisture I had to add about 2 tbsp of water to mine since I live in an arid climate and have a high altitude.

4. Form into pancakes and wrap in saran wrap. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

5. Once cool clear an area on the counter and dust it with flour. Roll out the dough until it I about 1 cm thick or any desired thickness. Make sure everything including your rolling pin is dusted in flour

6. Cut the cookies using a cookie cutter (I took a heart mold and bent it to make the cutter you see)

7. I used the tip of the cutter to upgrade my banelings with feet and then stuck them on the bottom. (You can cook them separately or together if the feet fall off u can glue them with the frosting your about to make)

8. Take your baking or cookie sheet line it with parchment paper and spray it with a non stick spray (Pam etc) Place your banelings on the tray and then a-move them into the oven. (Your oven should be preheated to 350F) Bake for 8-16 minutes depending I baked mine for a total of 12 minutes I did 8 minutes first checked and waited till the edges turned a nice light brown. It took an additional 5 minutes.

Cookies are done took around 13 minutes
Cookie Late Game
Making the Icing
After a solid lemon cookie midgame there is only one option left, the icing late game. Nothing is more O.P then icing and your friends and family will agree!
DECORATORS ICING FOR COOKIES
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. water
2 1/2 to 3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
Method:
1. Separate two eggs and place the whites into a bowl
2. Add the 2 tsp of water and 1/8th tsp of cream of tar tar
3. Whisk until it becomes frothy
4. Start slowly adding in your icing sugar

This is not thick enough but a good time for food colouring (Split into separate bowls so u can have more then 1 colour)

Use towels to prevent your bowl form sliding

You may not need all the icing sugar you want to whisk until it forms stiff peeks (same consistency as pictured above)

Added food colouring I used a neon purple
Finishing Touches
Now that all the work is over it is time to add the finishing touches!
I cannot really give you much more instructions on how to ice the cookies it is fairly straight forward I iced the outsides then sectioned off the body into head thorax and 2 bubbles on his butt. After I iced the outlines then I added eyes and a mouth then poured jelly into the body sections
