Do you think you sound intelligent because you're requesting that I arbitrarily edit out certain words from my vocabulary because some groups of people may find those words offensive? My vocabulary is larger than most. What does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to make the claim that everyone that swears is stupid, or at least has a small vocabulary? I think I communicate cleverly plenty enough. I'm a relatively creative person, whether I'm making an analogy or insulting someone or talking dirty to your mother over the phone. I can get across most messages I have pretty clearly. Ah. So white people are never A) poor, B) bullied, C) disabled, or otherwise disadvantaged? You think every single white person in the world lives a perfect life? Sorry, bro, but that's pretty fucking racist. And bigoted. I would leave my time and abandon any sponsorships before turning myself into a politically correct zombie who spews meaningless bullshit because people are too fucking weak to handle a few swear words. Your entire argument boils down to "I should be able to say offensive things that have no place in polite society." You aren't saying anything more intelligent than the 12 year olds who think they're being edgy and hardcore on xbox live by spouting that nonsense. There's a huge difference between swearing and slurring. And no, you've never been marginalized for being white. Asians have been marginalized for being asian. Homosexuals have been marginalized for being homosexual. If you want to pretend like you're some valiant defender of free speech, go right ahead. The Starcraft higher ups have already made it pretty clear they don't like this stuff coming from their players or casters. Maybe the LoL community will have a home for you.

"Ha ha! I'm going to try to get this guy fired. Hey! Hey! Everyone on TL looky! Guys look what I wrote. I'm outraged about something or whatever, doesn't matter. Fire him!!" Please, try to treat people like people first and foremost. If you don't like something someone is doing, please please contact that person first and foremost. Quit trying to have a pissing contest. Just try to handle things in an adult manner. Rather than bring up the problem to the person with whom you have a problem, you have done the equivalent of going to his mommy. Stop, telling his sponsor is not a way to make him think about the right and wrongs of what he does, it's a way to get him a slap on a wrist or fired. Try to reason with people. How much better would this world be if people opened actual lines of communication with each other rather than trying to run around them for spite. Ugh. These types of thing just make me so sad. Start acting like adults. No one is impressed with his language and no one is impressed with you crusaders and your pitchforks. Think and act like you were dealing with humans instead of faceless soulless entities on the internet.

It is clear that the team only picked up Destiny because of his abrasive and terrible behavior. His dark and edgy ways are what Quantic Gaming actually like about him, so it is useless to expect them to do anything. As long as he is bringing attention to himself and his team, he is good no matter what. The only way to actually get done is to email sponsors and concern them about his behavior. Sorry if this seems "extreme", but it is the only choice.

But to try and represent the people who don't share the viewpoint that Destiny needs to be flayed and burned at the stake.

Sorry but the whole "I play for myself and dont want to be a community figure" bullshit doesnt fly when you join a team. If Quantic have a clue they will cut him loose. If he wants to do that by himself on his stream when hes not on a team then have at it.

How do you not know that just because you think its okay doesn't mean everyone else does? This isn't even about religion or free speech. Its about using words that you know hurt people just because you think they shouldn't hurt people. News to you, just because you think people should act a certain way doesn't mean they do. I'm going to stop responding to thoughtless post like this until you respond to my questions earlier. Tell me which words a person should/shouldn't be allowed to say, and then tell me why some groups of people are protected while others aren't.

I mean, I really can't believe that this actually merits a serious discussion. If anything, the constant use of witch-hunts and the incessant attempt to "destroy" certain figures within the community is what's really hurting it, not the use of slurs heard every day which no one would give two shits about if said by anyone who they couldn't "expose" for spouting them. Constant attempts to bring down "community figures", if that's what they are, is more damaging to the long-term sustainability of the game as a sport than anything else. By all means, continue to jump on the bandwagon, but you're doing it because you that's the type of person you are, not because of some higher morality.

Sponsoring teams and the Starcraft community allows them grow and foster. By supporting sponsors, we do the community far more good than harm. Let's make sponsors feel welcome in the community - far more sponsors will show interest in SC2, if they feel that supporting the community will in turn gain them our support. Greetings, I would like to express my gratitude in Razer's decision to sponsor the Starcraft 2 team Quantic and all other gaming related sponsorship's due to the amount that the communities gain from such sponsorship. Like many viewers, I see that the fledgling Esport community can only continue to grow and that your support helps this considerably. I consider continued sponsorship of Quantic as a great benefit to our community, and hope that you continue to do so in the future. As such, I hope that you do not listen to the minority and continue your support of the gaming community, if you do, I personally vow to buy a Razer keyboard and mouse to go with the quality Razer headset I already own. Thank you and best regards, - [insert name here]

What if they do come out and do somthing about it, then you just e-mailed shit to the sponsors and hurt quantic even further. Wait a little - wait things out. Don't do something stupid just because you are not patient enough to see where things go.

Since when has publicly endorsing certain words served to further racism? I recommend a book: The rise and fall of the third Reich. The public endorsment of racial slurs has in fact caused the deaths of many millions(beyond the Nazi), in fact it is hard to not be aware of it.

Can't remember who got defeatured for the n-word, but I guess everyone should be treated the same way. When Orb got banned and actually lost his job, there were people actually argueing if he actually is racist... which is just wrong in the first place, but now people in here white knight for Destiny because 'thats just how he is' and the OP should 'stop to cry' ? Seriously, double-standards. I hold no grudge against Destiny and I couldn't care less about racial slurs, because I don't think its the racial slur that he intends to do, but rather to insult the other person. He could easily say son of a bitch or sorts of that and it would also fit the purpose. I just don't think we should start to handle same situations differently, just because someone is more or less known for bm. He would be banned IF he uses such language on TL.net. I can understand your calling for defeaturing the stream. I cannot see why you'd want his account banned itself if he's conducting himself appropriately when on the site.

I'm so glad your basing this decision on actual evidence and history instead of your own uninformed opinion before you go and email sponsors that support our entire industry and not just one fucking team. o wait. any and all evidence whatsoever in the past would point to the exact opposite and that teams DO respond and take things very seriously if you actually give them more than 30 minutes of impatient internet time to do so and that mailing sponsors directly is basically suicidal to our growth.
