Don't get me wrong. BW is my first love and she will never be forgotten. But it's time to move on guys. SC2 might seem like feeble substitute but in good time balance will come. There's still two expansions and a buttload of patches in the works.
Honestly. Wouldn't you rather see the Jaedong, Bish or Flash slaying nerds all over the world with personal sponsorship or spearheading their own teams in SC2 rather than have them retire and go do their military service?
What the fuck? No. Watching them play SC2 would break my heart.
Also, people need to stop using the phrase "support e-sports and expand SC2" as if it's an argument. Fuck e-sports. We want to watch people play games, and by games, I mean good games that we've loved for a decade.
People have different opinions, and I'm all fine with people saying that they can enjoy SC2. But seriously, stop coming in here and saying "but if they switch, SC2 will grow." That's inciting dumb flamebait, you know it, and a lot of people here don't even bother with SC2.
But but.... It's eSports.... and eSports is guud. eSports brings et in Terra Pax! Denying eSports is denying Pax et Terra Pinfu.
but then again pretty sure et in Terra Pax is hurting eSports =/

I agree with this logic. I think we should gather collective data to find out what's the most popular physical sport in the world, be it soccer, baseball, etc, and just tell everyone to switch to the one with the most popularity.
Who cares if some sports are niche sports that might or might not be out of fashion with the rest of the world? Majority obviously rules.

It's because eSports, it bring peace to earth. We should all go play eSports, even though I am still not sure what the hell is an eSport, I can play BW, I can play LoL, I can even play SC2, but I must know how I can play eSport. "Playing" eSport is just something that doesn't compute with me.
oh well, Pinfu Peace on earth.
off topic, holy shit how many hours of sleep did you have (I had 2 and a half here)
Well, it's been fun. And the horizon for sc2 looks really grim from where I watch. After that awesome set of a final, I doubt an SC2-incorporated PL would be good for the one game I've loved for more than a decade (no bullshit). For those who questioned those people that thought BW was dying, it was dying but that doesn't mean that it's gonna die without a fight and the finals were truly well-fought.
BW is the only game that reached this height, if BW died after it's brilliant decade, what does SC2, LoL or any 'E-Sport' game have to stand the test of time?

Screw e-sports. Play Mahjong.
Play/Watch underwater basket weaving. That stuff is absolutely insane.

from what I understand, even kespa doesn't know for sure what they are going to do for the next season of PL yet.

They seriously need to find a way to monetize streams. At this point, I really believe that the market's there. I imagine most of us in this thread are willing to pay a reasonable price to continue watching BW if that's what it takes to keep the scene afloat financially...

GSTL last night was pretty epic as well... So I dont know.
You gotta be kidding me! A disconnect and then MKP destroys everyone in really one-sided games. Give me a break please. This Proleague is epic, the GSTL is a shame.
