Screw it.. I've decided to embrace this retarded attempt at assimilation. Having BW and SC2 broadcast side by side will make all the boobs realise the huge disparity in entertainment and this'll allow me to shamelessly flaunt my BW elitism booty. And then if the full transition to SC2 does come then I'll just fuck off forever. GOOD DAY.

So on days when a progamer's next game has to be BW, he can't play in the ace match unless he didn't play in the first 6 games? And if he doesn't play in the first 6 games in the hope of being able to play in the ace match, then he'll be in the same predicament next week if the team doesn't make it to an ace match :/ Cue KT is stuffed comments looool.

I recall reading a comic book once where the main character was actually a comic book character (Comicception oh lawd) and in one of the issues his popularity hits rock bottom and the salesman that always has the character's comics stocked becomes so desperate to get rid of them that even the purchase of a bar of chocolate comes with 10 free copies of the guy's comics.
Somehow, this scenario reminded me of that comic. BW popularity is not hitting bottom, it is still the most popular RTS in Korea, it is just sponsors.
Oh, I know that, that wasn't exactly what I was getting at. In fact, it's about SC2 hitting rock bottom if anything, though that's also not the case. I was pointing at the whole concept of buying something and getting something shoved down your throat with it that you didn't ask for and don't want.
It wasn't an analogy, just a little story on the side that I thought I'd share

Of course, history is history and i highly respect that part of a BW. But the time goes on, and nothing lasts forever, besides those memories that you will keep dear...and it's time to follow the flow
So you'd become a dedicated fan of professional bowling if Boxer and MVP and whoever else all became professional bowlers, right? Because you truly love them? who knows? mayby they would be awesome to watch at bowling? ;D
it's also a bad comparison as SC / SC2 are fairly similar and bowling is certainly not close to either of them.

No GSL SC2 players allowed in KeSPA-run SC2 league for a year
I can't believe they're going this far to keep the illusion of BW players > SC2 players. But then again, if they do allow GSL SC2 players to participate right from the start then their precious top-tier BW players will probably get their asses handled, inducing massive amount of disappointment from rabid Korean BW fanboys (specifically Fomos) and make them stop watching their league or worse, actually switch over to watching GSL and ditch the other one altogether. (I am hoping folks at PGR21 to do this, they seem to be most sensible among the BW communities)
The player must play SC2 match after playing BW match
Brace yourself for massively sleep-inducing boredom and "OhMyEyes" level of gameplay from both matches. No one is going to be entertained as they watch this.

Any sponsors would be hesitant to sponsor a decade-old video game tournament tainted with match-fixing. Especially with the current social climate (Hurr durr video games are evil) in Korea.

I disagree, I love both games, love watching both, so going from sc2 to bw isn't going to make me mad or anything, I actually have no problem with the format. I just know people who only watch sc2, and people who only watch bw probably will

I just know people who only watch sc2, and people who only watch bw probably will On one hand, the LR threads might be complete disasters with tons of SC2 vs BW flames going on.
On the other hand, the LR threads for WCG's SC2 Korean qualifiers were surprisingly tame compared to what I usually find in other LRs like for GSL or MLG, but probably because the Korean-only commentary scared off a lot of people. Perhaps the SC2/BW LR thread might be surprisingly tame if enough foreigners are scared off by the lack of English commentary.
Then again, Moletrap seems to be going to OGN, so I'm scared of the caster bashing flames in these SC2/BW threads if he ends up casting both games.

Just make two different LR threads, would suit everybody better. I really don't want to have half the posts as "x so imbalanced", "who is this guy he's ugly", "omg this newb sux dick", etc

Good for you, just don't expect GSL-tier gameplay for SC2 matches. You'll be wondering if you're watching Kings of Tin instead. And everyone knows how it's hard to switch back to BW UI after getting used to SC2's superior UI. Expect eye-cringing, facepalming BW matches.
My sides are moving on their own imagining all these hilarious screw-ups resulting from playing SC2 and BW at the same time.
I bet my right arm that at least 1 Zerg player will lose while looking for a defiler mound in SC2.
I can almost predict how the casters and commentators will try to pretend it's good.

Where does the notion that current BW pros don't want to play SC2 come from? I haven't read negative opinions from the BW players on SC2 in any interview. Seems a lot of people are projecting their personal disliking for SC2 onto the BW pro's themselves making logical constructions where they're coerced into playing SC2 against their will.

I'm just providing possible scenario of a BW player mixing up BW tactics in an SC2 game. No offense to Jaedong fans, he's the first BW Zerg player that came to my mind, I don't hate him.
Anyways, at least it will be funny as hell. Let's stay positive, people, positive! :D

fuck this shit I'm really sad Hopefully this fails terribly and they switch back to bw

They've been practicing SC2 on the side for months, I wouldn't expect newbie mistakes like that. Probably just a lack of refinement in their play and dodgy decision making.
