The vast majority of eve players are still in the big=better mindset. And although Rifters are amazing, even Hatchery newbies can't wait till they get into their first 'big' ship. Why is CCP making that wait longer? This company often has design decisions that make little to no sense. The game remains successful because it's so unique.

Kwark will probably put you in a rifter though...

Reading some of the stuff for the patch notes, it is evident that CCP actually does not know what the game is, as per previous agreement.

Those changes are sooooo dumbbbbb. I mean, I dont fly anything else then Minnie BCs but being able to train a single skill to 5 to fly all BCs maxed was the really nice thing about them Also BS 4 for caps is pretty funny.
|
So for sleip I didnt actually need to train cruiser 5, or assault ships, or hacs, or warfare link spec :|
Also lol
In practice however, after assessing ship slots, EHP, speed, fitting potential and role overlap, we estimate almost half of our currently available ships to have suboptimal use, or are just be plain not worth it at all for pilots looking to min-max.
Even better :D
For example, why does the Amarr drone and tracking disruption line ends with the Arbitrator?

I think the changes make sense, but maybe that's because I never really flew anything relevant yet.

Yeah that was my favorite line too.

And here I was hoping leaving my BC at IV just for carebear purposes wouldn't be a terrible idea.

So instead of doing whatever we thought they were going to do, they're gonna give us free skill points (if only to fly what we already could fly)?
Well, okay.

Well, okay. I think the point of the racial BC skills is so they could become a requirement of flying BS because apparently it makes more sense that way.

It's more obvious that way, I agree. My previous annoyance was at the thought that I'd have to retrain things. As long as I don't have to do that I'm happy.
I guess I'll have to quickly train amarr cruiser to IV so amarr BC V will be added without problem...

So, do you guys know any solutions to game hanging on "Entering world as..." screen? It's bugging the hell out of me

14 Ships killed (0.22B ISK) 51 Ships lost (0.15B ISK) Hatchery Life has come a long way. So... in case anyone who remembers them still is around this thread... What does the crew around Dexxus do nowadays? Daedali and GTFOIFY and shit. What happened to Serge and Kizu? Was a certain famous eastern european troll trolling me when he said he and Mr. Stalin are thinking about picking this up again? And, obv out of pure fanboyism: What does Darkside do nowadays? Edit: HA YES I DUG IT OUT If you want to know why Drakes are #1 and why KwarK loves them so much, here is a famous piece of history: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=3678854Show nested quote +[05:21:56] Cordova85 > holy fuck [05:22:12] Smices > warping out [05:22:15] Smices > huge spam [05:22:17] Smices > spawn [05:25:34] Smices > kwark [05:25:35] Smices > wtf [05:25:45] Smices > kwark u there man? Serge is the only one still actively doing anything. DS is still flying around in the south AFAIK. Rest of the old Liquid still have bitter vet syndrome. I still log in to keep my skills going on Kizu and to pick up the odd contracts to keep myself afloat. Mukk's still going strong, and if they ever implement no/delayed local...perhaps.
