I think there's a semantics issue here. The fact is that in EVE, you cannot buy ISK for money. CCP has been extremely careful with this matter for legal reasons as well as foundational issues concerning ISK transfer between players. You can buy PLEX with money, which you can then sell on the market for ISK. The fact that there is no guaranteed price (CCP does not set the price of PLEX, it follows supply, demand, and speculation) strengthens this idea that "you're not buying ISK, you're buying PLEX." OK, I got EVE to work but I've forgotten everything and have just run into my first real problem: How can I reset missions? I did some epic arc starter stuff and then messed things up. Got back to station, quit mission, accepted it again but it wants me to do the first part once more (where you only have your capsule) and I don't get bookmarks for locations etc.
Any way around it? I can just create new character since I'm just a couple hours in...

You don't reset them. Starting a new character works, I guess.

Oh well, I guess I'll do that. It's surprising however, that I did complete first mission and when I quit on second one it wanted me to restart from the first one...

I forgot everything  Created new char and all is fine now. Previously it was really bugged, I even got 2 ships as a reward.
What happened to skillbooks over the years though? I remember previously getting basic stuff to use simple shield boosters and repair systems you could get right off the bat. Now you have 5k isk and prices start at around 25k. Getting 0.5k/mission isn't fun either.

Hey guys, about a month ago I came around and wanted to play, but my TL account was brand new so I wasn't allowed to join. I decided to wait a month, and since spring break is coming around I figured I'd have a lot of time to play. I got a new trial account, and I plan on subscribing once I'm a few days in the trial. Anyways, do you think I'll be let in now since it's been a month? I'm really excited to start playing this game, but I feel like I'll need some help getting into everything.
