So here I am, 1 year and a half after release and my first placement match is right in front of me.
It's also my first match on the chinese SC2 version. I fuck up and I pick protoss instead of zerg. Well...
Ensue a sad one-basing terran with the production facility for two bases against a noobie off-racing, some reaper harass at the 10 minutes mark (i guess, clock was off). All-around a baaaad match. As bad as they get I guess, not even the funny kind of bad. I lost, he/she was bronze.
Other placement matches go kinda like the first one, many one-basing turtlers, so many errors on my part. One of them occured in two games, building overlords instead of hydra (vs muta). I nearly won one of them by doing an "Occupy mutalisk cloud with overlord cloud". But to no avail.
Some wins and some losses. A zvz 7-pool win, get adrenaline up, and get placed in silver (top silver, haha).
All in all it's not so bad. I mean, I don't feel bad about it and it was quite fun. Obviously if you look at my ranking you'll probably have a heart-attack but hey. First ladder games ever on maps you don't know at all, it's not that easy.
Hitting plat or having lots of controlled wins in gold would be my next step but I don't care that much. As long as my heart rate goes up when I nydus into base race (into loosing), "it's ok".
