Hello all,
So, as was stated in another thread, MiN does not have very good english, so he uses a translator. The process is very quick, and usually if you have questions or anything you would like to say it gets translated very quickly and you get an answer back very fast. The whole process goes well, and there is never any miscommunication or confusion between any of the two groups.
As for the actual lesson, I focused on ZvT mech play, with some ZvT 2 rax and general concepts afterwards. We opened by having me ask questions, and MiN answering anything I had doubts about in concern with ZvT. Along with what specific style is causing me trouble. We then went into a game with MiN playing against the translator, showing me an optimal build order to deal with mech, while still being able to be aggressive(build centers around aggression) and giving you options to transition. We then discussed the builds, along with ways to deal with different possible responses from the Terran player.
The next part consisted of dealing with 2 rax aggression and heavy bio centered play, along with general macro timings and when to drone/when to unit in the match up. MiN continued to answer any questions(you are allowed to pause anytime during the game and ask questions) and help me work out any confusion I was having during the match, and explain why he was doing what he was doing.
Overall, the lesson was a great experience, and I have another one on Monday, focusing on ZvP. I plan on continuing to get coaching from MiN, and am very excited to become a better player because of it. Thank you MiN, and thank you Jun(CryingPoo) for being a totally baller translator.
His stream
I'll post up another blog after the ZvP reference.
I'm at low masters skill level if that matters.

I am getting a mention too : ) that's nice haha

I always knew you had it in you, CryingPoo. Sounds like a nice little lesson you got there I kind of want to watch some Min streaming now!

Oh this is the translator? haha
Anyways, nice, and thanks for review!
Questions I think should be a given in any coaching lesson, especially if the coach isn't particularly specialized in coaching, but more of a player instead (pretty much all coaches!).
Since I think when people want "coaching" they actually want "teaching", not just someone telling you to build another depot, watch your army, drop here and drop there, etc., it is good to have coaches be open to answer questions.
Well, nice to know.
SlayerS HWAITING
Edit: Important question:
Do you feel like you've improved significantly? At the masters level, it becomes harder to improve, where as when you are in Diamond or lower, you have severe macro problems or problems with decision making because you are not understanding some of the important concepts in starcraft. What kind of information have you learned about? It seems you talked a lot about options and choices and transitions, and how to respond. As a Zerg those seem to be very crucial details, since you can have a progamer tell you what to do and be sure it's a great choice instead of having to experiment yourself against similarly flawed players, which might give you skewed game sense.
I guess what I'm asking is, do you feel that 1 coaching lesson (how much did you get?) saved you a lot of work and time?
I haven't gotten coaching from a pro and usually it seems people want coaching more so they can hang out with their favorite player.

How much is a lesson actually?

I feel like my ZvT has improved significantly yes. I only got 1 session for it, but my understanding of the match up is a lot better than it was. I know aggressive timings, what to watch for, and other important factors in the match up, which are all critical to success against a Terran where you have to play the reactive style. So yes, I feel the lesson was very beneficial for me.

First lesson is $60 USD. If you want more MiN gives really good discounts for future lessons.
