I think it was Wern who was in gold league in EU server at the time he qualified. He might have practiced more since that though.

I don't know how it was in former WCGs for Broodwar. So I also can't understand all the hype for WCG. Yeah, it was the biggest event for over a decade. But it is a profit-oriented organization and no official world championship. For actual SC2 standards the pricepool and the production seem quite low. Unless WCG can surprise somehow, the Blizzard Cup will be the "world championship" for me. | ||

In (I think) 2009 they couldn't stream any WC3 at all, and it was a much bigger draw back then. Point is, they've lacked coverage for major games before, and they *could* again, especially going by the schedule. Edit: Might have been last year. | ||

beyond awful decision to force cross spawns on every map. What was the reasoning behind this? Takes a lot out of variety and it seems extremely stupid, but maybe I'm just missing something. | ||
