Sheth,
I'll join you in this. I weighed around 270 pounds, 6 feet. In preparation for college, I decided I'd want to lose weight. I did really well, dropping to about 255. However, after college started, I couldn't keep it up anymore and I'm probably where I started before.
With Christmas break coming up, I'll have about 5 weeks to get something done. This time, I'll stick to it.
GL
Edit: Grilled boneless chicken breast is coming.

Just like being awesome at SC2, there are no shortcuts. Straight up hard work, nothing more! (I hear TLO's good for healthy foods?) Sheth's version of MMM: Muscle, Macro, Manner!

I don't hope you will succeed I know you will

Gogo Sheth! hope you find a workout you like, that makes it alot easier. I have always tried to just bike as much as I can (school work what not) makes me not hate working out.
I may join, not sure my current numbers.

You go, sir!
I'm currently about 185lb and really want to get down to about 165 (I'm a short dude, 185 is kinda chubby on me). I really admire you for posting this, and I wish you luck! My aunt lost like 120 pounds and has kept it off for seven years so far, so I know it can be done, and I'll be cheering for you all the way!

So much respect sir I really hope it goes well for you ^^ <3

Patience is the real key here good luck Sheth

Track your daily calorie intake and you'd see just how little you eat. You might think you are eating a lot one day, but you are really not.

If I lost weight, I'd probably cease existing, so I can't compete :/
But gogo Sheth!

Full support of you, and hope you will do well! Should've joined you as i'm quite overweight aswell (about 115kg/185cm tall (+ i'm only 18;( )) but there's too many excuses to get away from it. Gl anyways and if u're as motivated to do this as being awesome at SC2 it shouldn't really be a problem for you!

Motivation research shows that an intrinsic need, not an extrinsic need, is longer lasting and better for long term goals. Furthermore, adding extrinsic motivations often decreases intrinsic motivations.
This blog is basically to give you a sense that you have to live up to other's expectations right? So that you can't go back on your word? But that is an extrinsic motivation. Obviously you can't stop what you've already done here, but I would advise you sincerely to make an effort to find the motivation within yourself. "I want to exercise and eat healthy because I want to feel good" something like that. Long term goal is weight loss, but you need incremental short term goals of changing your lifestyle and the way you live.
You might not see this but I hope you do. I studied motivation this year and this is what a lot of studies show (which to me was obvious, but actually a lot of people are surprised just how ineffective extrinsic motivation can be).
