This last weekend I had the privilege of attending the NASL grand finals in Ontario California with one of my players HwangSin. I just wanted to write a blog to take the time to thank the NASL for doing such an amazing job, and to just help fill in the community on some of the stuff they don't see.
First and foremost, the entire staff that the NASL had working did nothing but an amazing job in the treatment of the players. Everything was very organized, and structured, so that the players new where they had to be at what time on each day. When I say everything I mean from signings, to interviews, when they play, their photographing session, everything. They gave the players cell phones for the weekend so that if the players ever had an issue with anything at all they could call the staff and get help. They had a nice area for the players to hang out, in which was stocked with goodies, such as In N Out burger, Red Bull, Lemonade, Water, Soda, snacks, etc. They had 6 stations for players to warm up, and made sure the players that were playing soon were put in priority to play. I have been to several other events this year, and will say for sure that this is the best my players and myself have been treated in comparison the others we have attended. I understand there may have been some production bugs at times, or possibly even mistakes. I just think its so important that the community knows that from the teams perspective, its an amazing event. I hope that more events learn from how they handle the players, and adapt some of the things the NASL provides.
Big thanks to Duran aka Xeris for all his hard work, as well as Mirza, Barbie, and the rest of the NASL staff. Everyone was amazing, thanks for making it such a wonderful experience.

Good to hear other aspects of the tournament went well

Thanks for sharing; I'm really impressed! I have run a couple small events before, nothing even close to a pro LAN event, but I know how much of a difference it makes (for everyone) to have everything organized and people available to assist. Providing "help" phones is a really nice touch, not only because it makes so much sense but it sends a great message. Nicely done NASL!

Good stuff, It's nice to hear from that perspective.

Glad to hear it was good for the players etc in the background. Always like hearing stuff like this from multiple perspectives, not just the average attendee.

The player area was a huge step up from Season 1. Hoping season 3 will come with an open bar though. that alone would make making it to the finals worthwhile.

Every tournament should get cell phones for the players

Duran, can we get an open bar next finals?
