Well Gentlemen (and Ladies??) we are at a final Girl Blog from me for a while. Despite a variety of hilarious misadventures, this particular section of my blogging is probably coming to a close for some time now.
For those of you who follow my posting on TL (yeah, right) you've probably noticed I've basically dropped off the radar for some time. This is because I've been pretty QQ, pretty ;_; and pretty U_U about my relationship status. One of my friends jokingly advised me to post about it on TL for advice (a word to the wise: don't ask for love advice on TL) and I laughed with him for some time. It actually cheered me up. I'm not looking for advice, but I thought I'd write it down somewhere reasonably public just to get it out of my hair.
The woman I've been dating for some time (in these past 3 months as a long distance relationship (ok, yes, I know, long distance relationships NEVER WORK but it sort of worked previously with us (and yes, I know, they really do never work, school, blah blah, moving, blah) so it didn't seem so unreasonable this semester) but previously with some experience as well) recently called me and basically said she was a) cheating on me and b) dumping me.
So baaaaaasically I'm hella QQing. She tried to be nice about it, but as I somewhat dryly pointed out, being "nice" would probably entail not cheating on me (score 1 for wit!) or possibly breaking up with me, well, beforehand. I'm actually somewhat impressed that, despite my general, well, extreme sadness and woe, I managed to be snippy during the breakup call.
;_;
Queue general withdrawal from society coupled with a purchase of Skyrim and the sinking of an entire weekend therein. My bros generally were like "yeah man fuck bitches etc etc" and it was encouraging to hear, even if I had some weird feeling that I needed to defend my ex (ex! that's a new prefix) girlfriend. It was liberating, though.
I'm back, though. Sort of. Basically. And I realized that TL is still here, waiting for me. I've still got this community to come back to, always. The conversation continues. People still write blogs, Girl Blogs even-- Trump still streams, the Terran Help Thread still presses on, and the Practice Partner thread is in dire need of an update.
There's work to be done, reading to do, writing to do. A lifetime of work. I've got unwritten articles to make, hella 6gates to fight, a TvZ build to develop, a screenplay to write, and all sorts of things to get my mind off of
her.

We are still here! Occupy (girl blogs on) TL!
Sorry to hear about that, continue chilling around girl blogs (this one and more) and ABL thread and we'll keep your mind off "her" but kind of at the same time help you think of "her" and not be hurt.
*edit: Whattt I rated it 5/5, some douche rated it 1/5 and made this a 3/5 blog on 2 votes. WHO WHO WHO

Nothing`s actually better to heal than occupying your mind with other stuff you love. Hope ye feel better soon enough and kick in your projects into overdrive.
|
Awww! Sad story. I'm sorry to hear that I agree with Optical Shot, just hang around here and keep your mind off of her. Its a horrible thing to say, and so cliche, but time does heal wounds, and it is hard to believe at the time, especially after something so horrible like this :/ You deserve better. I hope things work out for you though.

T_T
<3 pull through man. Sucks when you get that "I'm cheating" call. I never understood why they don't just break up first.
|
<3 I'm sorry dood. Get your favorite food and play your favorite games! :D

I always click on girl blogs but never read them yet feel compelled to post in them as I've already invested a click.
Macro harder! It's like like Windex and duct tape all in one, it's the answer to anything life throws at you.

Why didn't you watch MLG during your withdrawal from society? I've always preferred passive entertainment to active in these situations.

I misread part of your blog as this while skimming:

Anyways Skyrim is awesome, I'm not sad or depressed about a break up or anything but I can get pretty emo but Skyrim is like a drug, it puts me in the shoes of a kitty cat and I completely forget about real life. Actually that's probably not a good thing.

You should break up with girls more often.

Lol that flow chart is so cute. Hope you reach the YAYYYY more often than the QQ U_U ;_;

If you haven't seen the Butterfly Effect and don't want the ending spoiled, don't open the spoiler below!
BUTTERFLY EFFECT SPOILERS + Show Spoiler +You're really hung up dude. It reminds me of the end of Butterfly Effect. I always get this way when I go through breakups, but the best way to overcome the grief is to get out there and start talking to girls/women who will get your mind off of her. Here's the scene I'm talking about. If you've seen the movie you'll know what's up. If you haven't, it probably won't make any sense at all... Hopefully this doesn't happen to you when you're happy again. (Often, there's a moment near the end of a really good movie that the entire movie has built up to. Then when the moment comes, you have a span of 10-20 seconds, sometimes even less, to have your soul ripped into pieces as you realize that the ending is the reason for the entire movie. This doesn't mean you get to hear Bruce Willis say "Yippie Ki-yay, Motherfucker," which is cool enough in its own right. This is more of a "holy shit, this part of the movie is 1000000x more dramatic because of the 2 hours that led into it." For this reason, if you intend to watch the Butterfly Effect in the future, I'd suggest watching the entire movie before you watch this youtube video so you can get the full effect of this scene, as it is a scene like the ones I've described above.)Ending summary and Butterfly Effect synopsis: The Butterfly Effect is a movie where Ashton Kutcher (the dude at the end) can use his journals to travel through time. He uses the journal to try to make his failed relationship with his first crush (girl at the end) work permanently. But every time he gets with her, something horrible happens. So at the end, he is given another shot at the "original" timeline where not much changed as a result of his journal-actions. So he decides to give up thinking it's hopeless and burns the journals. Then eight years later he sees the girl (who hasn't re-met him in like 20 years in this timeline)... she recognizes him or at least shows interest, but he does nothing. (This is why she looks confused and annoyed that he stopped in her path without saying anything.) He has a mindfuck and then decides it's not worth trying again even with such a potentially great shot with her before walking off.

Yeah....cheating people are always bitches. You might as well have the courage to feel guilty enough to break up before you take any sort of action.
At least you got Skyrim. Dragonborns before hos.
|
If you've been dating her less than a year the cheating isn't worth being so upset over... believe me. Also if you're younger than 20 the whole relationship means nothing.
- Play Skyrim
- Play Starcraft
- Fuck girls.
- Find a dumb easy girl and execute item 3 literally.
Until you are graduated and working and on your way to success, women mean nothing unless you happen upon something special.

Whats a "Skyrim". Ive been seeing a lot of references to that popping up lately.
