Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

Are you a whistle blower, or maybe you were referring to something else? It`s allowed to watch replays in between games at MLG. You also assume the motivation of him watching the replay and do not take into account the situation of the first game. This is getting old. And think about all the times Naniwa was told the maps were a different version. At least two times, he scouted the wrong place cause he think it as a different map version No, he wasn't. Check the MLG statement where they explicitly state no one told him it was cross spawns only
My take on it is that Naniwa interpreted something the admins said in such a was as to think it was cross positions. It`s quite feasible. Naniwa is swedish and english is his secondary language, and he does not seem to be the most socially skilled person either so I can easily imagine a scenario where he misinterpreted something one of the admins said.
This also solves the mystery of why someone would lie about this. It`s not really a big deal so I cannot fathom why either Naniwa or the MLG Staff would bother staking their reputation on denying this. This also correlates well with what MLG_Adam posted.

Naniwa for pres!
Him and Huk shows that koreans are not special and that foreigners with the same training partners/schedules can beat any of the top koreans. Then we have the master mind Stephano who is just a natural born killer.
All this flak for not kissing everyones ass is so sad. Naniwa is just speaking his mind. I bet all the koreans there gave Leenock tips of how to beat Naniwas usual build cause all koreans think so highly of themselves(DRG wasn´t even rooting for his teammate)...
I recall Idra saying that the koreans were hypocrites(spelling) and that they were at least as BM as himself except for when the public were watching... This makes it even more disgusting when people are booing Naniwa for not even being that BM.

Multiple people confirmed that Naniwa pulled up the replay of a game that was restarted (g3 v Nestea on Shak) due to it starting when on a commercial break. The replay that showed him what? The post-game screen shows build-orders anyway. Yeah so? The point is that he was the cause of restarting the game and that people calling Leenock punishing Naniwa's greed "dishonourable" is ridiculous considering what Naniwa did to Nestea. What did he do? Please elaborate on your accusations. There's a thread about it where an MLG official, I'm pretty sure it was Adam, gives his version of events and explains why he absolutely doesn't think Naniwa did anything wrong. It's in very great detail, I recommend anyone who thinks Naniwa is a cheater doesn't talk about it until they have read it. Oh he is definitely not a cheater. He broke no rules other than possibly badmouthing MLG (which by interpretation can be a technical) You have to break rules to be a cheater.
So what's the problem? :/
What did Nani do dishonourably?

I'm too tired to write something long and beautiful, so I'm just gonna keep it to the point.
Big congratulations to Leenock, Naniwa and Haypro(!) for your amazing runs. Stay awesome, MC. Well done casters. Fuck you MLG player for going black on me all the time. Thank you MLG for providing all these awesome games. Love to the LR-mods and hate to all of you who make them have to work. And..eh..yeah, great weekend.
'til next time, ta ta

Congratulations to Leenock! This MLG was fantastic as a lot of players I didn't expect to do well really shined and made a big statement. TL should be really proud of their players Hero and Haypro, they were exceptional.

The point is that he was the cause of restarting the game and that people calling Leenock punishing Naniwa's greed "dishonourable" is ridiculous considering what Naniwa did to Nestea. What did he do? Please elaborate on your accusations. During the break between game 2 and 3 of the series between Nestea and Naniwa, Naniwa chose Shak and set up the game himself. Something happened (miscommunication most likely) and they went to a commercial break. Naniwa had started the game though and they both played around 1:37 of game time so they had to stop it cause it wasn't being casted. After that they went to the restroom during the break and Naniwa got back first and started watching the replay. An official apparently tried to stop him but it was too late and he saw Nestea's main and the build. Then they started the new game and since Nestea was cross spawn in the replay Naniwa assumed it was cross only. He got upset. Started typing on screen which MLG could do nothing about. They then let the coach in apparently to relay messages from the admin (idk why) and then the game started again. Basically he did nothing against the rules, but he sure as hell did nothing honorable. But this was in the thread yesterday. Multiple people who were there have been saying this.
Some quick notes: The game 3 was first aborted because the game was started too early. The players were not ready and the commercial was still on. But before it ended Nani had scouted Nestea going a 10 pool really early. So Nani was in a good position at this point. (At least this is what I interpreted from Naniwas interview)
About watching the replay thing: As MLG has stated time and time again it is actually not breaking any rules. In addition he could gain mostly any information he needed from watching the end game score screen. MLG also concluded that him watching the replay did not affect the result and even did a press statement about it.
About the coach thing. It wasnt his coach but his manager Scott Ford and there was MLG staff present in the box at the time he was in it.
Despite all of this Naniwa did get a technical foul. So he got punished but it was not all that you and others make it out to be. Cant we just end this now?
EDIT: About the joke tournament thing. At this point Naniwa felt cheated from a good position in game one, (Had scouted a 10 pool or was about to) thought that the referee had lied to him about the cross positions only, and to top that off he is Naniwa. Another small tidbit is the announcer not even remembering his team earlier in the tournament.
I do not condone the comment, but I can understand why he wrote it at the time given the information he thought he had.

Unbelievable..Leenock emerges to take MLG Providence from Naniwa...and Nani looked so good! However, the Protoss player's stubborness in repeating a Forge Fast Expand cost him as Leenock was quick to find the answer: Rushing and keeping Nani off his rhythm in the early game. With the inability to adapt, Naniwa found he was so behind in the late game over and over. Leenock saw the vulenerability and like a true stragist he exploited it. The Zerg player may be an underdog in the foreigner community but his record in Providence is undeniable: 16 years old, the skills to take on the world's best, and the MLG title to prove it. Congratulations to Leenock!

Exactly. People are going to love Naniwa or hate him for his antics. Fans have every right to boo a player they dont like. I dont want to hear bullshit about fans having to be classy. Naniwa has shown he's anything BUT classy in this MLG. I find it hard to believe that a player would go out of his way to paint a big bulleyes on his back. Do you really want to piss off Nestea and MVP? GLHF with that.

Dear MLG,
PLEASE do me a favor and get the MLG tweets and all of the other spoilers off of the stream page... There is literally an overlay displaying tweets on who won what and how right on the video. I'm trying my damn hardest not to read anything too revealing while trying to find the game I left off on, but you guys sure make it hard. I keep reading "Leenock" all over the place... I wonder who won? =(
P.S. I don't know if this is the right place to put this but I am so annoyed I need to post it somewhere! lol

I feel like you are forgetting a few thing
1. He did not have that 25,000 at this point in time
2. ANY mistake/error vs the absolute top of the worlds elite could very very possibly cost him exactly 25,000 or even 50,00$
I though agree that it seemed a bit hasty and harsh. But at the same time he does speak his mind and don´t you agree that you would have been pretty angry if this happened when you had that amount of pressure on you?
