You do realize there are fewer casters at the NASL S2 Finals than there were at MLG right?
MLG Lineup: Day9, Husky, djWHEAT, JP, Tasteless, Artosis, +4 beta stream "community casters" = 10 casters. NASL Lineup: Day9, Husky, djWHEAT, Diggity, Rotterdam, MrBitter, Gretorp, orb (gunrun is MCing I believe though I could be wrong don't quote me on that) = 8 casters.
But yes, we're a casters convention!
lul
Anyways guys, really looking forward to casting my first live event! Should be an absolute blast
Can't wait to meet all of you at the afterparties and such ^_^

*sigh*
I am saddened by how many of my fellow Canucks *won't* read. . Use reason. Ontario, CA != a finite location in Canada. It is an entire province, one that spans over 900,000 square kilometers by land. This isn't "where's waldo", they wouldn't make you guess where in Ontario the venue would be. Look at the venue info. You will see a five digit postal code. You may infer from your experience as Canadian that this may not be a Canadian Postal Code, as there are no letters in it. So sadface.
This happened last season, I was hoping it wouldn't happen again this season, but alas....
EDIT: can't >> *won't*

MLG also had 4 streams running in paralel and a ton more games than NASL, it's only logical that they have alot more casters.

We want to have a diverse casting group, and we believe that casters shouldn't have to cast 10-12 hours per day at an event, they get worn out that way. This way we can rotate casters and not overwork them. This == happy casters

And happy viewers as well. Not only do you guys get fresh, energetic, and excited casters for each game, but look at it this way: Even if there's a caster or two on the list you may not like (everyone has their favorites and preferences right? Just being realistic), at least you know there will be such great diversity that each caster will only be casting a couple of matches.
Personally I think it'll help make the finals really exciting and fun to watch, but who knows, we'll have to wait and see ^_^
+ Show Spoiler +Note I hope no one interprets this as me saying I don't like some of the casters on the list or something... was just including that since I know some of the people in the thread have already expressed this sentiment

so i dont really see where your going with that ><
So i think i will reiterate what everyone else has said, why do you need so many casters for 15 games. Seems odd. And really if your just counting group play at mlg (a more appropraite comparison to the NASL finals) their are 2 groups of casters only with JP subbing in here and there, and thats still for at least 2-3 times as many games (and thats just casted games their are games that arent casted as well in group play)

I didnt follow this season of NASL at all, i maybe watched half a game on the first week when it was free 1080p. I really do think the lack of Koreans hurt their viewing numbers, but beyond that its just too much starcraft to follow for one tournament and if you dont follow every week for at least 1 division your missing out on the storylines etc and you just eventually become uninterested. I payed for season one and only made it half way through, season 1 was plagued with tons of issues though season 2 hopefully ran alot smoother.
Regardless i think NASL would enjoy much more sucess if they just became a lan event tournament, i mean how much money could they really be making off of the regular season with just 2 to maybe 5 (thats usually a stretch except for maybe on weekends) thousand viewers watching regularily. Most people will just hold off and watch the finals (because they are live and they are much more exciting and its just a weekend of commitment not 5 days a week for months on end) and will get explained the story lines of the regular season by casters (like they did last season) suddenly blam im caught up and i didnt have to spend 3-5 hours 5 days a week watching an online tournament.
Even TL stopped covering NASL each week , probably because no one on the writing staff watches regularily anymore or because of the generally low viewership after this first week or two. Dont get me wrong I would love NASL to be hugely succesful, but from a viewers point of view im just not that interested in pre recorded online tournaments so much (TSL was so great and exciting , but it was also in small doses on the weekends and the regular casters were far better in my opinion) If it was actually feasible for north america to have a live league similair to the GSL , now that is something I would watch. I just dont think pre recorded online tournaments are going to get esports or starcraft 2 into a mainstream audience, it can barely hold the attention of the hardcore audience as is.

Some people just love to bitch about nothing.
Lets do a little match here. There are 16 games right?(theres a 3rd place game also). The semis, finals, and 3rd place games are BO7s, the rest are BO5s. If every set went to the last game thats a total of 88 games(unless im dumb). There are 8 casters(i.e. 4 casting duos) so that means each duo could cast up to 22 games if its spread evenly.
Is casting up to 22 games per caster really a totally unreasonable number for you? You should be happy that people will get to enjoy some of their favorite casters, even if they don't get to see them cast EVERY game. You should also be happy that the NASL is providing work for all these people so they can continue to provide content for you.

is the distribution!
Why such a huge difference? :S
This is much more reasonable than last season. Personally I have no problem with this distribution. Can't wait for the final weekend.
