I'm curious if the TL SC2 viewers saw the HoN games as well and vice versa. Are there many people who enjoyed both through this season?

why are there so many casters? this is a sc2 tournament not a casters convention.

You do realize there are fewer casters at the NASL S2 Finals than there were at MLG right?

MLG Lineup: Day9, Husky, djWHEAT, JP, Tasteless, Artosis, +4 beta stream "community casters" = 10 casters.
NASL Lineup: Day9, Husky, djWHEAT, Diggity, Rotterdam, MrBitter, Gretorp, orb (gunrun is MCing I believe though I could be wrong don't quote me on that) = 8 casters.

10 casters for 4 streams and 120+ games.

9 casters for 1 stream and 15 games.

Great comparison.

I gave it a try when I tuned into NASL and SC2 wasn't on, but it was so bad I had to tune out again.

No idea how people can enjoy watching that shit.

You literally can't watch HoN at 360p even if you did want to watch it.

Please don't make the same mistake as IPL3. Don't put HoN finals right before the sc2 finals. Please keep the streams separate.

I suggest also provide the playoff HD pass information...maybe even an early-bird special like $3 off for signing up now.

Last season I bought the HD pass for playoff and it was totally worth it.

i cant for the life of me think of why you need 9 casters let alone invite bitter and rotti over from europe to what??? cast 1 possibly 2 series? also you KNOW they wont be casting the finals even though they would be the best duo there hands down. this seems extremely excessive and just plain stupid tbh and mbcarmac's comments lately are holding up pretty well atm.

Way too many casters, very unnecessary.

Gretorp and Orb should be there, as your two main casters like it's been all season. But you only have one stream and it's single elimination.

Ro16: 8 Best of 5's.
Ro8: 4 best of 7's
Ro4: 2 best of 7's
Ro2: 1 best of 7.

So you have 9 casters for a total of 15 series. 2 casting pairs would be more than enough. Gretorp and Orb for your brand, then someone like Day[J]Wheat or Bitterdam. The rest of them are just not needed.

My opinion on the caster:

• Day9 - He is god.
• Diggity - Never heard of him. Could be good or could be bad idk.
• DjWheat - A beast of a caster, I like him really much, especially together with Day9
• Gretorp - Meh. Look, I'm not the kind of person who hates caster for no reason and I can endure many things. But Gretorp just annoyed me through the season. He didn't even get better with co-casters (excluding him and orb). His cast with Sheth was horrible and honestly it was not Sheths fault. And his casting with Gunrun was even worse. He is the main caster, he will probably cast the finals and if you have to do it NASL, please give him Orb as partner, thats the best you can do, if it has to be Gretorp.
• Husky - He gets much hate. I can understand it, but I like him. He has a good mix of game analysing and entertainment.
• MrBitter - He has a very good understanding of the game, especially with zerg and together with Rotterdam, he's very entertaining. The only thing is that the bashing can sometimes go too far for a serious cast (I don't count Grass is Greener as serious )
• Orb - Didn't know much about him, but he really impressed me this season. He is the only one to make Gretorp good, because he talks so much more than him (which is good)
• Rotterdam - He is very entertaining and has a good game skill, together with MrBitter he is very good, but don't let the bashing go too far on this one.
• TheGunrun - Didn't liked him through the season and did not see anything else from him. Meh.

I pretty much agree with all your points there. I think a lot of people who haven't watched ESL before will be really surprised and happy with Bitterdam.

Diggity was the first starcraft caster I ever heard and he's really good. search him on youtube and he's got some great and indepth game commentary... or you can watch this for the lulz:

I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

I can't believe people are actually whining about NASL having too many casters. I think this guy put it best:

You should be happy that people will get to enjoy some of their favorite casters, even if they don't get to see them cast EVERY game. You should also be happy that the NASL is providing work for all these people so they can continue to provide content for you.

Have any of you considered the possibility that these casters might have asked NASL if they can cast? Or, they were attending anyway and NASL wanted to make use of them? Or that they're not there to cast but also do other things (I think Orb said GunRun is MCing)?

Seriously, the NASL hate is getting really depressing. At least last season there were somewhat legitimate reasons. But now, they've 1) fixed the prize pool, 2) fixed the format, 3) added a caster lineup to address caster complaints this season...

And rather than saying, "Good job NASL" people go, "OMFG WTF TOO MANY CASTERS"

SMH.
