To keep story short I was lucky enough to get a hold of some cash in a somewhat "easy" way and I feel blessed I guess and I want to do a small repay to life, pay it forward if you would call it that
I wanted to donate money to a good cause and I had 2 options in mind, which were St Judes and operation smile, and even maybe red cross.
But im open to better suggestions. couple of things to keep em mind tho, the following are NO NO for me: Church or religion related, homeless people stuff, and drug addiction.
I really feel kids that are in situations where they had no control whatsoever deserve my money, example being born with a fucked up mouth , or getting cancer.
so vote please!

Keep it for a couple months, if you still have it and still donate it you will feel that much better. And you'll have guaranteed have found a foundation you 100% know you're donating too, without having to ask
Curious, where does this "some cash" originate from?

St. Jude's is good, but what about UNISEF or something like that?

St. Jude is amazing, but from a gaming community, have you considered Child's Play?

St. Judes would be my choice from that list.

Did you win the lottery ? :O
But i think the childrens hospitals are always the best place for money, or even Cancer Research based ones, they can never have enough money.
Glad to know there is still nice people out there who donate to these places :D well done and good luck

when you were picking up your money was a necktie mandatory or was a more casual attire allowed?

I'd go for Medecins Sans Frontiere or Save The Children. Both really good charities that get more than most out to the field. Red Cross is good too though.

I always have a bad feeling when people are donating to the Red Cross, i don't know why. Maybe because of the news/articles etc about how some of the money isn't going trough, going to completely wrong pockets and whatnot. Guess i'm too brainwashed.
So my personal opinion would go the zeru's choice, doctors without borders or something else.

My favorite charity is called Heifer International. You pay for the cost of an animal (goat, pig, sheep, water buffalo, ducks, rabbits, bees ... ). They will give that animal to an impoverished family but then they also give that family training on how to use the animal, how to increase their farm yield, cook healthier, etc. The best part is the family now has a source of income (the offspring of the animal) and can get a better diet via better fertilizer or milk, depending on the animal. It's a great way to really change the life of someone and raise their whole level of existence.

At least give the site a browse. Thanks! And way to go!
