What`s awesome about them when there are people who work 1 job, earn multiple times more than them and enjoy doing it and their life - and also they are giving their kids an example of a life worth living, while the ones you mentioned give an example of a dry, survival-based life and often force their kids to follow or make them feel guilty and ashamed. Sersiously, what`s so awesome about them...they surely do have a will to live, to not give up and sustain a family and that`s respectable but other than that they are kind of sad. By no means to criticise them but in some way, some of them are even opposites of a superhero because they often preach about life and their way of life and in doing so, unwittingly encourage others to join and share their misery because they cannot face their own shortcomings. Again, by no means a criticism but there isn`t much of heroic values in it. And they aren`t the kind of people who make United States, or other countries for that matter, as you put it, beautiful and amazing unless you are so domesticated in limitation that it is how you define words amazing and beautiful. Besides, humanity is yet to see beautiful and amazing countries. To use these words like this is to pollute their meaning (btw sorry if it is a little bit off topic). 1) Favourite: Venom, he was so awesome to watch when I was a kid =] 2) Most powerful: Franklin Richards

Earth has sensu beans and, more importantly later in DBZ, Dende (that young Namekian kid) that can heal them. So during a slow period, why didn't Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan get together every morning in a three way mexican standoff formation and blow the shit out of each other to near death? Have Dende heal you, get up, brush yourself off and say "gg guys, same time tomorrow?" After a year or two of that you can pretty much sunder any evil guy that shows up talking shit using just your little toe. Also, for laughs for anyone that hasn't seen it, Superman is a dick. http://superdickery.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=28&Itemid=45

But if they were to do it again without getting any stronger in between, it wouldn't help much. After the Frieza saga it seems like they pretty much left that near death thing behind, though. Seems like a plot device that wasn't as interesting as training montages.

My favourite at the moment has to be Green Lantern but only because I just watched the movie and like the hero is designed. I gotta admit that I was never really into your "american" superheroes from Marvel and DC Universes, only watched the series a few movies of course when I was little. But when I started to research a bit more on the whole topc lately I was kinda overwhelmed how complex both of them are. Only reading a wikipage of one single Superhero might take a few ours^^ And someone posted a powerlist from the marveluniverse here in this thread and after I watched the "thor" Movie I was thinking: WTF Thor's so broken compared to the others in the upcoming avengers movie ^^ but the first name on the list I recognized was ODIN, a godfather! and he's only 11th ranked tier. What the hell^^ Anyway I grew up with the eastern heroes so Goku and Luffy ftwww

His alterego/costume is Clark Kent, with the suit and glasses. He's an actual superhero by nature, whereas Batman is just a guy dressing up as a bat... 2. Superman, no other superhero would even touch Superman. Oh Batman is holding a piece of Kryptonite? Ok, Superman just flies high in the sky and would use his thermal lances to melt Batman. GG. Seriously, Superman is the god superheroes. He can easily avoid anything with his super speed, and would see anything coming his way with his xray vision. 3. Batman creates some sort of cryptonite-emanating device which has a range of several miles. Weakens all supermen within a 20 mile radius? GG bitch. You actually forgot that Batman is a genius. O . O (doesnt have to be my idea. cryptonite machine gun, cryptonite laser, photon cannon. Kryptonite seeker missile with a diamond ((unbreakable)) hull. whatever.)
