Yes I do have an Athlon 64, I also have a Phenom II x4 @ 790fx-gd70, and a I7 s1155.
If that's what you mean, nothing wrong with AMD cpus... my I7 beats my Phenom II by far @ video editing etc etc overall, but when it comes to gamming, the phenom II was hardly beaten, while MUCH CHEAPER ...
see? you are a young generalizer. you generalize the cituation as needed, but'd don't worry you're just a human.

Not irrelevants brother. I am a high qualified tech person man. I can make a driver for my own chip set, where you'd probably be stuck if there was no "DOWNLOAD" button at your mb's manufacture's website, or cd for it.
It all comes to the point where, regardless how detailed the advice was, or undetailed, it should never result in a warning, when you're acting positively .
You gave abominable advice that if anyone actually followed it they would risk having there computer destroyed or a fire started.
Yeah thats warning worthy.
Would you like to see MY reference? Come on do it. Call me into question. It will be glorious.
1)when was the last time you saw a computer on fire ?no, seriously ?
2)destroyed ? ... how?
3)When I gave the advice, I was expecting a quote for me to respond, did I ever give a part #? or link ? This is where it stinks... the fact the word cheap was miss understood. the fact it was a ON THE FLY warning, the fact i never had the chance to reply to any quotes, since there was none at the time. --edit-- If the thread owner, asked me,"WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND", I would have looked into his hardware and given an SPECIFIC advice. but it was never done.
I'm not a software engineering. Thanks for pointing out the obvious.
Cheap can be understood as inexpensive or low quality. When a configuration is incapable of SLI and would never exceed 300w under load, suggesting a cheap 900w unit over a Seasonic 520 unit is VERY POOR advice.
If you were acting positively, you would have READ the fucking OP before responding. Instead, you decided to give out terrible advice using terrible English making him waste money on a lower quality component.

well brother, I really don't mind that, and I think it's probably a good thing. BUT, because the fact there wasn't enough facts to get a warning, it wasn't polite you know ? there was no specifics... when you say something, there are thousands of ways for that to be understood, unless something is specified.
My advice was empty !!! my advice was an empty advice, which was going to contain someting good, if it was asked to...
Just like with the SC2 relocalizer...
People needed help, I made a friendly interface with auto update for them, to help... I had the same plan for that guy as well lol... see ? the intention was very positive.

And even I get shit on by members of this board because there was this one time I made an off handed comment about power supplies to skyR. I was wrong because of the way I said it, and right fully so.
So don't worry about it, just move on and redeem yourself. It'll happen, but not in threads like this.

Negative...
Seasonic 520 good ? ok, seasonic is an "OKAY" power supply... $80 ??? this is the avg price... OVERPRICED...
for $80 dollars, you can get something better, more powerfull, with sli support...
This one only has 1x 6pin,
The poor guy wanna get SLI, what do you do ? spend another ~ $80 ???
Thats why I mentioned the word SLI, the word SLI was the key to make the judgement before the warning... wasnt it ? come on.

Well, the guidelines kinda say that you shouldn't give "general information". Maybe the mod misunderstood you and gave you a warning. But again, a warning is nothing to worry about. ^_^
Oh, and I'm pretty sure that i3 2100 beats any Phenon when it comes to gaming, just because most of the games don't support more than 2 cores (SC2 <_<). But still, AMD holds the best cost effectiveness out there.
Perhaps if he was going "standard" instead of adding "brother" everywhere it would at least be slightly better...
Was he trying to recommend someone some no name brand? A lower, more power efficient one would have been much better.
The Brazilian thing is only for DotA/AoS related games or at least where it stems from... 8150 can match the 2500k in multithreaded apps, but it seems the ipc is worst than the phenom ii ( still need to wait till oct12 for confirmation though )
well, on the internet, any person has the balls to "cut any one's balls"... so that comment is comment is pretty much null ...
But again, The guy decides his FPS is too low, and now he wants SLI, ... wasn't it cheaper, smarter, and more effective to jst get a better power supply for the same amount of money or even less ?
Come one guys... Team Liquid is a gamming forum... and because of that, my advice was fully valid.
even though easy to miss understand due to poor explanation and details (waiting for quote to do so) my advice good, and valid.

thats the thing my friend, I never recomended anything specific.

No it wasn't valid. 900W power supply makes sense for zero 2 card SLI setups. Not a single one. And "buy high wattage at low cost" is a common pitfall too many people make.
You clearly didn't read the OP where you gave terrible advice. The average price of a Seasonic S12 is around $60, we are not talking about the M12. The unit has 2x PCIe connectors. The OP's configuration is not capable of SLI. For not reading the OP, you fully deserved the warning.
Brazilian thing is not only for DotA / AoS . This is widespread because of how certain individuals who label them as BR act.
Regardless, if you have an issue, PM a mod or post in website feedback. This isn't the right forum. I get that you feel shit on, but a warning is better than a ban, right?
