I'd honestly say he's at a lower level than when he did his StarLeague run.
Is it that he is soooo much worse than his 2008 run OR that the other players got even better since then. I'm thinking the latter with JD and Flash bringing invaluable information to the new kids on the block. I think he will do well in the GSL, perhaps not extraordinary, but well.

Keep this thread on topic please. It's inevitable sc2 inherited the starcraft name, what do you expect us to compare red alert 3 ? Wouldn't it be more fair to compare Brood War's metagame at one year, versus SC2's metagame at one year. Especially considering SC2 is different enough that while it inherited the name, it definitely did not inherit the meta-game. Different units, different fundamental A.I. control, different maps, different players, different time. For better or worse, they will never be the same.
Might as well call it Warcraft in space 3d .

Good luck to ForGG, hope he does well.

suddenly, I am much more looking forward to the next GSL code A qualifier. :D

really not interested in seeing washed up ex-bw pros ( mediocre at best at the time of move) joining sc2 scene & teams. don't think these guys can add anything to the game in the terms of skill, only maybe some fake hype to let outsiders think sc2 is actually a big thing in korea :D

These guys are totally washed up. Nada, July still in Code S? MVP raping everyone as the king of Terran? Boxer with a solid code S run and a massively successful team? ForGG with 4 accounts in top 10 korean grandmasters? Jesus these guys are terrible. Obviously nothing to contribute.

Ugh...I remember that MSL finals. If the map pool hadn't been so fucking stacked against Zerg, it would've been a much closer series -_-

ForGG is is #41 GM on KR server with a 66% winrate. And these " washed up ex brood war pros" you are talking about are mostly in Code S, as ForGG will be.
Code S players add nothing to the game?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Not to beat a dead horse but who exactly would you consider adding something to the game?

I really don't like it when people use proleague winrates to say someone is not very good. To be 5-8 in proleague you still have to be a fucking top100 world player. It's like saying the Real Madrid is a bad team because they have a losing record against Barcelone. Yeah, ForGG was not the elite of the elite. But he was still the elite. He was still a better player than 95% of current top sc2 players. I don't know if he'll do well, but people really underestimate what a fucking beast (in absolute terms) you have to be to just win a single proleague game.

Hahaha, this. Anyone who managed to qualify was ridicously good.

You mean you are really not interested in seeing ANY bw pros join the sc2 scene because it could mean that sc2 is becoming a big thing in Korea :D

The stupidity of some people baffles me sometime. iirc, none of the "top" sc2 pros have produced any results in BW that match fOrGG's. Get to A+ on ICCUP, win a MSL, and then I'll consider your opinion worthy of any of my time.

Just want to point out that ur standarts are really high, OMG ur time really is worth money.
On topic i never liked any of forgg play so im really not exited to see him switch to sc2. Also anyone know if Savior is allowed to participate in the GSL seing as Kespa has no direct power vs GOMTV.
That would be the controverse
