You don't need a thorough inverstigation to quickly open a games chatlogs and see racist remarks. Whats your point? So let's reread this. I didn't say anything about what kind of investigation one needs to make sure one line of text is in violation of some set of (laughable) rules you use to moderate your gaming service. I happen to agree, a thorough investigation would seem overboard in any event.
If you don't need a thorough investigation to verify that one line someone said on the internet contained the word "faggot," it doesn't make sense to represent the fact that you saw the word and clicked 24 hour suspension as a thorough investigation. That's the point and the joke.

Anyway, it's pointless continuing this discussion as like most terrible trolls online you simply ignore all the points made in posts disagreeing with your side. Except I'm not a troll. There you go again, ignoring the points in my posts.
As I said previously in this thread there is very very unlikely to be such a thing as a "funny" ban or suspension as they're not just handed out for nothing. Offensive language, telling people to kill themselves, threatening to kill people etc. are not funny and thus this thread was doomed to fail from the very start. You managed to provide an excellent example of this in your opening post and there's not been a single funny example provided thus far.

Blizzard is a joke for banning for some words and not others.
Thorough in context means they looked at logs and found evidence of the claims against you. Thorough does not always imply "omg check every game hes ever played".
They thoroughly checked the reported gameand claim and found you in the wrong. I see no problem with there action. I've even been banned for such actions and agreed with there approach. Even if I was mad about the ban.

Yea, I don't get why everyone is giving the OP so much crap, it is pretty funny how random it is lol.
You've got this huge formal e-mail detailing the specifics of the entire case, and then the case is just presented as:

lol, it's just random funny.

Goodnight everybody. Seriously TL Mods...where are you? This thread should have been closed an hour ago...as soon as somebody said I shouldn't have made it. I tried for it to be a good thread but it got ruined very fast and now nobody is taking it seriously and it isn't even closed yet? Also thanks to those who understood what I was trying to do with this thread...and good riddance to those of you who act like you never use bad language when you do.

It really isn't that bad. What made this thread bad was the huge derailment about whether this should be a thread or not. This isn't the first time this has happened, people need to stop trying to backseat mod and just not post if they dislike the thread contents and want to argue for pages about how right their conclusion is. Report it if you find something about it in violation of the rules, don't derail it into oblivion in an attempt to prove the thread is bad. If it's a bad thread, it doesn't need you making it worse.

I never said you did say that, I said that such things are not funny in any manner along with every single example people can provide for what they're banned for. You provided an example of not funny ban in the original post.
I fail to see how my view (based upon experience from the other side of this amongst other things) somehow proves I didn't go to school? It might shock you but different parts of the world have different cultures and within those different environments which all have different acceptable behaviour. It doesn't matter if you use this word in school, that doesn't make it acceptable everywhere else. Blizzard don't care what you do between your friends, they do however care when you use inappropriate language to insult others online and I'm sure if you go on the Battle.Net forums after your ban is up and tell Blizzard that you think they're "homosexual" for giving you the ban then you'll be receiving another deserved one shortly after.

Offensive language, telling people to kill themselves, threatening to kill people etc. are not funny and thus this thread was doomed to fail from the very start. You managed to provide an excellent example of this in your opening post and there's not been a single funny example provided thus far. And again...you prove you never went to school and therefore cannot read. I didn't even talk about the "killing your family" stuff. Somebody else did and I was simply quoting it as an example of how messed up Blizzards ban system is. I was sincerely trying to make this a thread about funny bans...somebody else brought that in and I guess it gets pinned on me. Bro seriously? People have already said this is funny and only you and your group of white knights believe it isn't. Go out in the real world please. Maybe I "deserved" that ban...but so does 95% of StarCraft 2 players. Get a life kid.

Anyway I tried to make this thread a good thread and you White Knights ruined it...I hope you enjoy your job here on TL. I see no white knightery here. You made a shitty post and got flake for it. Every shitty thread has this happen, whether it be in protest or jokingly laughing that the thread. You should have known such a stupid OP would be open to such critisism and you set yourself up for it. Ok. Phtes. I am officially crying with laughter. This thread wasn't a bad post. A few of you thought it was...the majority thought it had potential. It wasn't a stupid OP...that's your personal opinion. Lighten up you faggot. See? That's a joke. It means lighten up dude.
The thread had a ton of potential, the way you create the OP had 0. You set youself up for this "derailment".
Also the way one percieves a joke is different, so you honestly have no right to ever use such terms that way to people you do not know...

And that has nothing to do with language...that has to do with somebody getting reported for hacking when they don't hack. Are you seriously like...stupid...? you don't find it ironic that you said bnet doesnt ban very fast and you got banned after less than ten minutes? i thought it was amusing..... I guess it can be ironic. Sure it can be amusing. But it has nothing to do with being banned for language. That was a few days ago before I ever got suspended...so how does that have to do with this thread?

My OP had 100% potential..people like you set me up for derailment. Just so you know you won't become a mod for putting on that nice backseat mod seatbelt. Stop sucking up and get out of my thread kid.
