Haypro hacking is very disputable btw, I forget the exact circumstances but apparently the bot he was using was something you use when you obs games/watch replays and he accidentally left it on or something. TT1 and Spades on the other hand intentionally hacked repeatedly, along with a bunch of other kids.

I 3-0'd him prior to that loss and every game he said "Terran is overpowered" and kept blaming my race for the win. Then he distracts me by literally crying in the middle of the game and I decided its time to turn on the fancy rants. you really have poor reasoning. Who cares if you beat him 3-0 prior to thatt, ladder score doesn't mean much. If someone is annoying you on ladder because they are QQing, the ignore button is a good skill toi have

Like a woman to an abusive boyfriend. Maybe they don't go dirt poor the next day, but to say it doesn't hurt them and everyone will just forget tomorrow what they did is wrong. Just to be clear, this guy isn't disagreeing with anything I said. On September 26 2011 06:20 iloveAthene wrote: yeah, look at Michael Richards. His career is over. He voluntarily quit doing stand-up so we'll never know if he could still do stand-up unless he chooses to try again. But as for his career, he's gotten/kept three jobs since the 2006 incident: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0724245/ And the aftermath of his racism is an example of how the world enables professional recovery from such an incident. David Letterman and Jesse Jackson both gave him time on their shows to apologize. If the world simply damned him and shunned him, it'd be much more difficult. But I don't know if anyone gets that treatment. I imagine they'd have to do something incredibly extreme like rape or murder...

For instance, hockey players/coaches are constantly yelling at each other and saying the most derogatory things that they can to each other in an effort to gain a psychological edge over their opponent. Society at large puts up with it, they certainly don't take enough offence to it that it jeopardizes the sport. In high level competition of any kind, you get exceptionally competitive people and I think tempers flaring is only natural. Also, more directly to this issue, Spades was angry at the player, not the race. Racism is a problem to me when someone is targeted specifically because they fit a profile, but in this case, a 'racial slur' was used the other way around. I can't believe anyone would want to classify Spades as a problematic racist over this. Spades already said he was sorry, I don't see a point in prolonging the drama with a thread such as this, its probably hurting e-sports (albeit still completely insignificantly) more than Spades ever did. BAMMMMMM! That's a money response

The public can be very forgiving, too forgiving in some instances. It mostly has to do with the person's talent or level of fame. Michael Vick should still be in prison imo. I mean shit look at OJ. Roman Polanski is a piece of trash rapist who's been on the run for 30 years and people still kiss his ass. Don Imus is back on the air after losing his job for racial remarks about black women. I'm not saying what Imus did comes anywhere close to the other three btw, just thought I'd add him in. And yeah Michael Richards "voluntarily" quit stand up. He wasn't banned by the ruling commission lol but nevertheless I'd still say that incident ended his stand up career. If he would've been a top tier stand up comedian I'd certainly say the chances he'd still be touring would be much greater. Who knows, maybe he'll comeback.

But if you say "fuck you you fucking n*gg*r" to a black guy on the opposing team there's gonna be a whole lot of trouble

You get angry when you fail to find a solution with your wits. Remember this when you see angry people.

What so many posters try to ignore is that almost all pro-gamers are athletes in a certain sense of the word. They are under a lot of pressure and their emotions almost always run high when they are playing (either winning or loosing). Yes in a perfect happy world such incidents wouldn't happen, but frankly ours isn't perfect and the pro gamers are only human as well. If you look at western sports (frankly i don't know enough about asian cultures to comment on those) you'll find tons of similar or worse incidents all over the place. Usually they are fined if they do something like this on live TV or their sponsors force them to apologize but thats about it.
