For our game what we love,to go to the next level, do we need people to mature. In other sports such as baseball or football, people dont say shit like this because it is a THREAT, and over the interenet it is no different, I doubt that anybody would come up to my face and tell me to kill myself.

This isn't about me or jedigamer this is about the PRO scene and that professional players even think for a SECOND that it is okay to say stuff like this in PUBLIC. From an outside investor/sponsor what would make you think our community is professional

Ladder is one thing, and yes the guy im talking to has a ton of issues, but from more pro players who use language like this, should tournaments allow it? Personally I feel it should be a fine/dq if you use shit like that, it really needs to be cut down...

Idk I troll ladder a lot and make people rage on purpose, you should see my word cloud. It's just how I play. Maybe that's how he does it too ( I remember once I was on a smurf bronze account and beat jedigamer, he was raging the entire game). Don't take it seriously and it will be fine.

THE OP EDITED HIS TOPIC BECAUSE HIS ORIGINAL EXAMPLE AND ARGUMENT WASN'T VERY REPUTABLE
This is Jedigamer, he compensates for his insecurity by putting a front of obnoxious attacks towards other people (regardless if it is deemed or not).
He said himself he'd "turn over a new leaf", but shortly after, ruined it.
Don't give him more attention and don't use him as an example for anything relative or related. He gets angry and exerts it onto other people. It's not unusual for a lot of angry folks who take the game beyond serious or get too emotionally-tied to it.
Is it okay for people to be using terms like this over a video game? Especially a GROWN MAN to a highschooler (me) like for our game

Point is people are assholes, no matter the age. The sooner you realize this and try not to let it bother you, the sooner you are happier. Yes, there is almost always a better action that someone could take. The fact is that you can be as rude as you want to be on the internet with relative anonymity, so don't expect anyone of any purported age to be respectful whatsoever.

No "pro" would say things as sensitive as "kill yourself" in a tournament setting. Most people are quite reasonable when there are people watching.
And if it were to happen I have confidence that the tournament will deal with it accordingly. If not, the masses will cause an uproar and bring us the drama we all know and love on TL.
