some bullshit between steam and thq at the minute apparently, so if you're from the uk you can get the demo here Edit: Also I played DoW2 before SC2, yes flame on but its a very fun if some what unbalanced, And i saw a few videos of thunderhammer jetpack marines of smexeh flying doom about 18 months ago from the same engine.

Also I'd like to note that I have read about a dozen of the 40k Space Marine novels and I felt that they are almost spot on. I am so excited about this game and its release. More so than I have been for literally any other game in my 15 year gaming history.

I don't usually get "into" games, like to the point where I am yelling and laughing that I am having such a great time but these two short demo missions did just that. My heart rate went up and I was amazed by just how well they have done with this IP. I've read pretty much every 40k novel released to this point... and it feels JUST LIKE the novels. The world feels... right. When the guardsmen appeared in the inquisitor mission, and the beams just TICKLE the orks, I was laughing my ass off. When I took a power axe, and rammed it in to the face of a nob, I was just so satisfied that they got it RIGHT. Everything feels correct.

This game looks so sick. It is so bloody and raw it's amazing. The Power Axe that you get at the end of the demo is really satisfying to hit stuff with. Already pre-ordered the game btw

My only minor complaint so far is the voices of the orks, (they need to sound a little more savage/alien, not just like angry chavs.) Anyway yeah, the atmosphere is awesome. I feel my ovaries drop when I play this game, running around, ripping faces off with chainswords, stomping skulls into the ground, punching heads apart, just awesome. The bolter sounds and feels like it should, and unloading into the HORDES of charging orks is just so perfect! The execute animations are hilariously violent and perfect for 40k. Melee combat feels a little hard to control, (I can't figure out how to do any of the "special" moves in the combat log thingy), but the game is a blast. Definitely not a thinking game though. Shoot everything that moves, and then murder everything else that moves with your chainsword/fist when you run out of ammo.

All the voice acting is same between all of Relic's games, which is why basically every race sounds as I remember back to the good ole DoW days. Especially love the guardsmen. Sound like sorry sonsuvbitches that are thrown to their inevitable deaths :-p. The orkz are no different. But i wouldn't say it's entirely incorrect. I've heard that GW (being a british company) modeled the behavior of the orkz to a certain group of people in scotland. I can't remember exactly what, but apparently it's a cultural joke of sorts. One thing i wish they'd do is have IG that's not Cadian. I'd love to see some other planets added in. Likewise, it'd be nice if they made a game where you could play one :-p. Would be loads of fun playing with flashlights and t-shirts.

I just hope the chaos lord dosnt sound like a sissy, I liked that crazy dawg from Winter Assault. OH and a re-apperance of Gorgutz would be epic, but I highly doubt it

I don't think I'll be pre-ordering. I'm more of an Eldar guy. Bring out a game where I can play a Warp Spider and I'll hand you my wallet.

The orkz are no different. But i wouldn't say it's entirely incorrect. I've heard that GW (being a british company) modeled the behavior of the orkz to a certain group of people in scotland. I can't remember exactly what, but apparently it's a cultural joke of sorts. Its actually based off the cockney English accent commonly associated with London's working class. The demo was amazing if i look at it from a 40k fanboy perspective, but when i put that love of the 40k universe aside it gets demoted to just being a good hack and slash/ shooter hyrbid, but i cant make a full judgement based on the demo and the multiplayer is looking pretty damn good from what ive seen. The games biggest downfall for me is that its being released at the same time as dead island since i love survival horrors.
