that must have been some awesome ass yearbook with a diamond cover and gold pages.. wtf 150k
|
Is it bad that I'm more shocked the yearbook made atleast 150k than the fact that it was stolen? The news to me is that they have 150k.
|
There is some messed up people out there.
|
Even if it was over 4 years, 150k is still a lot. That's pretty impressive though, I'm surprised he wasn't caught earlier.
|
ah its too bad that today 150k will get you like 4 5cent candies, now back in the 80's that would be a lot of money.

damn. it would suck if you liked him then found out he was taking from you.
|
He means 150k is not worth as much as it used to.
It's still a fucking lot though

*She was a bitch. That's why I dropped her class for a different teacher immediately. Just to give you a reference- a full page yearbook ad or cheerful runs about $600 for color. On a high school English teacher salary? She probably took as much as she was payed.

Holy crap what do you guys put into yearbooks? Mine were only like 140ish @_@.
|
Absolutely nothing. Glossy pages. The advertisements were 600 for a full page, the yearbooks were only like 150ish I believe. I can't really recall tbh High School was 7 years ago.
|
My yearbook was $400 per page ($100 for the year book itself) if you wanted your own special page. Some people did an entire 2 pages of self gloating.
With 2700 students, they probably made well over 200k in one year. so 150k is not surprising.

lol great response to a ridiculous post

If I am not mistaken, 150k is like 3 years of her salary before tax.

@OP I would've stolen some of the money after 2 years and then the 3rd I would resign saying I got a better offer elsewhere and then run for the hills lol.

heh, something similar happened at my school not too long ago. someone in the finance office stole $297k to cover gambling debts or something and got 15 years in the slammer. let me see if i can dig up a link.
edit: found it
Litwin told law enforcement in an interview that the money was used to support a gambling habit that included trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, N.J., according to court records. She also said the theft was a result of extensive credit card debt and large mortgage payments on her home.

i guess if you're handling such big money on a rather small salary the temptation is huge
