I mean, I purchased NA, but now I can get some kicks playing the game in portuguese (even though I know it's total crap). Plus I get to play my friends who didn't have the foresight to actually purchase the NA version!

The only difference now is that you and your LA friends can join the same game. People with 2 accounts (LA/NA) now will choose which language to play, and that will be the only difference. $60 for a language pack that should be free. So sad =(

However, I feel bad for all the Taiwan grandmaster players. This surely will affect the Taiwan league. Oh well.

You also need an NID to make a taiwanese battle.net account... is that essentially the same thing as needing a korean ssn?

And now I have a free smurf account. double win! This is good news though, Blizzard is working its way through our requests. Next clan support and replay sharing. The two best LA players are Grandmaster material for NA, as well as the top 20~30 are NA Masters level. This is just a rough estimation though, I could be wrong. Truth is, most of GM at LA are barely Diamond.
