Russian players MMR has been reset and it is extremelly easy to beat 4 random noobs at placement and be placed at platinum. People will be demoted eventually, but this isn't something that is happening to "russians" it happens pretty often with new players, it's just that you have so many players with reset MMR that it gets really noticiable.
