While at work today, doing things I shouldn't have done, I kept seeing sc2ranks showing Pizza Hut ads. Now I'm about to order a pizza and want to click through the ad on their site but it won't show up. I want to click through because I'm hoping that converted traffic will weigh more heavily on advertising agencies than non converted traffic (as it should! who advertises but doesn't care about making money off of advertisements?), but I'm not sure how much of an impact it will have.
I'm not expecting sc2ranks to get half the money or anything crazy like that, but if it gave them a tiny, tiny, tiny amount of money, then I'm happy. After all, I'm order the pizza from Pizza Hut no matter what. I'd just rather find a way to benefit someone I like in the process.
Does anyone know much about advertising in this regard and is willing to shed some light on how my actions here impact sc2ranks? I'm guessing they record converted traffic and the long term average (maybe quarterly) will determine the revenue per qualified page view.

Maybe. But I'm only about 4 miles from where I work...
And my house and work are under the same ISP, so we're listed as pretty much the same location. I'm getting really hungry and that ad hasn't shown up, but a Papa John's ad did. Too bad I'm not a fan of their crust.

Send the stream hosting site a link to this post? Maybe when they are discussing with clients about the effectiveness of video advertisements, they can use you!

try looking for players with the word pizza in their name so the ad service will see pizza on the site you're viewing and give you ads related to the content on the page

I'm sorry sc2ranks, I really tried, but it's been more than 30 minutes now without that ad.
In those 30 minutes, I spent some time trying to find a donate link so I could send you a dollar or something, but it doesn't seem you have one. I did discover that the average sc2ranks viewer pays too much for insurance, wants to find an asian wife and wants to "bieber-ize" his face book.
I think you need to find a new advertising partner, personally. Only that second one is probably true.

Well as long as you browse teamliquid and only go to threads about things, like comic books, that are completely unrelated to pizza, you'll eventually get an ad for one.

Actually buying through that link does count, webstat services all track conversion rates. (or should if they're decent)

I'm fucking stuck with Dominos. I live in downtown area, literally 342 steps from the Bell Centre (Where's the Montreal Canadiens play) and they tell me they don't fucking deliver here?
How is that possible? I don't understand...

^ Yeah. I"m in a coverage gap. My highschool a block away gets delivery, but I don't. So if I deliver I get it delivered to the school and go over ot pick it up.

In any case, I remember accidentally ordering food to an address in mexico. I dind't feel that bad though, when I called dominos to correct it. But this time the worker is like BUT WAIT YOU DON"T LIVE NEAR THE ZONE YOU WANT TO CANCEL. And I"m like NO SHIT, I WANT TO CANCEL.
Anyways, he lectured me on how its policy to not let people far away order, so I couldn't have ordered. Except I did lol. (And lost like 6 more phone minutes calling to mexico)
So stupid.
