Your team finished 1st place in the regular season. Your feelings?
s2 – We did finish first through today’s win but starting from a few games before and with CJ’s match, we played at a very narrow margin so I felt very nervous. I’m happy that we could finish first today.
soO – I’m glad that I could be a part of today’s win today.
It seems like SKT1’s Zerg players have played enough of their part in the regular season’s first place finish.
s2 – Our Zerg players had an amazing record at the very beginning of the season. But we began to slump starting in Round 2 and by Winner’s League, we couldn’t play worse. I felt miserable but we were able to raise our condition near the end, go on winning streaks, and help our team go on winning streaks so I’m very happy.
soO – We played well in the beginning and then messed up in the middle. I’m glad that we could play well in Rounds 5 and 6 and be a part of our team’s victory. I think we did pretty well.
You guys were sent out at a time when some of your ace players were slumping; did you feel burdened?
s2 – If our team’s ace players start losing, then the rest of us have to shoulder more weight. But that helps us focus a lot more so even if they lose, I think we are able to fill in the cracks.
soO – I don’t feel any burden regardless of which ace in our team loses.
Both of you played ZvZ. Do you have confidence in your ZvZ?
s2 – I was anticipating Protoss so I didn’t practice my ZvZ as much as I could have. I was taken aback a little bit but I feel confident about my ZvZ in general so I felt that I could win as long as I concentrate hard. I was leading but my micro fell a little bit so I won a difficult game.
soO – I also anticipated a ZvP. But after they sent out a Protoss player in the beginning, I thought that I would face Jaedong but I ended up meeting Killer. I’m lagging behind him in our individual matchup but I felt that I could win if I could play as I did during practice.
If you are confident in ZvZ, why did you end up losing in one during the individual league?
s2 – I think it’s because I practiced lazily during one of my rest days.
What do you think is the reason the Zerg players were able to play better this season?
s2 – I think it’s because we got insulted so much. I think we got better as we kept getting insulted. Coach Cha also helped us become better because I think he managed us well.
soO – When I had a poor record, people made fun of me a lot so I didn’t think that I had any fans but there actually were some. SK Telecom’s basketball team’s Coach Jun once said “you need to play better for the fans who are cheering for you” and I took that quote to heart. I might not have too many fans closeby but for the fans that are out there, I want to practice hard for them.
How do you think SKT1’s Zerg players will play next season?
s2 – We are at 4th place this season but next season we want to try to place 3rd.
Your determinations for the Proleague finals.
s2 – Our Zerg players are in good spirits because of our seven game winning streak. I want to finish our last two games with wins as well as win in our finals game so that we can make a clean finish.
soO – We did finalize our 1st place finish but we still have 2 games left so I want to be able to reach our height at the finals.
The fight for 1st place is over but your fight with CJ is coming up.
s2 – CJ is currently 2nd and I think the chance of them playing in the finals is high. I want to beat their Zerg players in the finals and stop their momentum. I want to meet Hydra and turn his momentum.
soO – Our total matchup against CJ isn’t that great this season. Their Protoss players are doing well right now, especially Movie, and if I meet him I want to produce a high quality game. I want to show a better image of myself in the last game and help our team win.
Any last words.
s2 – From our company, coach, and managers to our players, we all worked together to make this finish happen. I feel great and thankful that we were able to end well. To the fans that cheered for us always, I feel good that we were able to return their support with this win. I hope that they look forward to us in Shanghai.
soO – I want to thank the staff from SKT1. They worked hard throughout the season and I hope we can become even more successful by winning the finals in Shanghai. To the fans, I love you all.

Bisu, Sun – “We’ll aim for 100 wins from the Protoss line”
Your feelings on finishing first in the regular season.
Bisu – I’m very happy. We were first place in Rounds 5 and 6 and I thought to myself that we should never give that position up. I was determined to keep our ranking. I practiced very hard for today and I’m satisfied with the results.
Sun – I’m happy that we are going to Shanghai for the finals. I’m also happy that I could finish the match for us. I’m also happy that I was able to get a 5 game winning streak.
You added another win even though you already finalized yourself as the player with the most wins.
Bisu – I worked harder because that and our team’s first place finish are two different things.
Did you get sent out in the first set anticipating a Terran player?
Bisu – I prepared for all matchups. I thought that I would face a Zerg so I practiced for that more. But I played a Terran so I played a game where I trembled from the start.
You said that you almost wanted to give up but why did you continue playing?
Bisu – I was going to press ‘gg’ if all my dragoons got killed and if my second nexus got destroyed. This situation came out occasionally during practice. But this was such an important game, I focused on my dragoon micro as much as I could. It really was a game where I felt like I was walking on ice but my hands moved well for me. I simply thought that I had to win in the first game in order to cut the other team’s momentum.
You once said before that you were going to win all your remaining games and now you are on a 5 game winning streak.
Sun – I said that during an interview so I told myself to stay true to it no matter what. My record before this was so bad that I practiced hard in order get my win rate over 50%.
KHAN’s Reality chose you as his competitor for the “King of new players”.
Sun – I know that the player with the most wins gets the title. I think I’m going to get it. When I was on an 8 game losing streak, I only thought about getting 1 win. I still think about that time so I’m not that greedy but I think if I do well the “King of new players” title will come to me.
Were you sent out in the map “Circuitbreaker” with an anticipation for Jaedong?
Bisu – Our coach set up our entry list so I’m not sure but you might be right. I think he wanted me to win a PvZ game.
Your PvT is currently at 18-3 but fans don't seem to know this because it got buried under the attention of your PvZ.
Bisu – I think it happened because I played relatively a lot more PvZ games. I’ve been enjoying PvT games more so I think my games are going well too.
You’ve been a great contributor to your team’s first place finish.
Bisu – I think I did well when I look at it now. I didn’t think I’d do this well but after I got sent out a lot during Winner’s League and as my record got better, my momentum increased too. My teammates did well during the Proleague format but it’s because I did well during Winner’s League.
Your PvP is not very good; did you feel nervous?
Sun – I was shaking before I entered the player box but after the game started, it went away and I thought about winning just this game. When I attacked with my dark templars, I wasn’t able to figure out Perfectman’s build but his reaver scarabs did not shoot very straight so I was able to win.
SKT1’s Protoss line has finished first too.
Bisu – I think we finished well because Best and I played as we always have been but Sun was able to follow us well and get a good record too.
Sun – I definitely think it’s because of Bisu hyung. Best hyung did well and Paralyze had 1 win too. We only need to win two more times to reach 100 wins so in our remaining games we will work to be the first to reach 100 wins.
If you wanted to comment on Best’s failure to reach a personal 100 wins in PvP.
Bisu – You win and you can also lose. There is especially a weighty feeling about setting records. His burden must have been great but if he plays more comfortably I am sure that he will reach 100 wins.
Sun – After I won a 9 game winning streak, I lost 8 times. Best hyung plays much better so I believe that he will get 100 wins.
Your determinations for the last match?
Bisu – My only thought is to defeat whatever team we face. There aren’t any players that I have lost particularly a lot to so I am determined to win regardless of who I face. I’m not thinking of anything else other than winning.
Sun – We did finalize our first place finish but I’m still going to win in my last game no matter what.
Any last words?
Bisu – I want to thank the teammates who always help me practice. I want to thank the B-team players because they help me a lot. Recently, I wasn’t feeling well and our company paid a lot of attention to my health so I was able to play in full condition today. I am always thankful to my team. I also want to thank our manager and Coach Kwon. I want to thank the fans who cheered for us for an entire year. I recently played badly in the individual league but the only way to repay my fans’ support is to win games (T/N: Bisu has such a wonderful attitude ).
Sun – Our teammates, the coaching staff, and all related staff members went through a lot of trouble so I hope we can continue winning all the way to the finals.
