Mods out for blood now:

Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in instabans.
Jesse Jackson conspiracy theorists will be met with permanent bans. ONLY warning. This means 9/11 inside job, bin laden dead since 2001, etc.
Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan."
Perm bans will be handed out. Maybe they should take this approach with TSL this weekend?
I dunno man, i get alot of people warned/banned during every TSL day, good reports from people who care about the site usually can do the trick.

User was temp banned for this post.
this is just gold
Too bad he only got a generic ban message from zatic. I was hoping for some witty mod comeback.

Upon reading the thread as it progressed, when the nuke icons started to pop up, the conspiracy theories died off real quick. However, that thread proceeeded to explode in about 50 million directions afterwards though, but atleast the conspiracy theories died down. Seems like more people are willing to risk the 2 day (or 1 week) bans, until the perms started coming down.

I highly doubt it or at least I don't bother with it. There are too many instances of bad punctuation/spelling to bother reporting them. I wish it was acceptable to do so though, I really would like to report everyone who writes "would/could of". It drives me absolutely nuts and I end up not reading the rest of their post.

Also what needs to be considered is that a lot of TLer's don't use english as a first language, so they may not know perfect grammar.

That's not the problem here. If you use "u" instead of "you" and ure instead of "you're" or "your" it's not because you don't know grammar, it's because you're too lazy to write properly. Someone mentioned would of (which also drives me little bit crazy even though my english is far from ideal), when I see someone use it, I look where's he from and 90 % of the time it's english speaking country.
But if I had to choose one of these things and make it bannable, it would be "inb4".
By the way, how strict are the mods on TL? For instance, someone wrote:
"Son i am disappoint
Should have sent out Skyhigh for ace..."
Is that report-worthy? One bad meme and a line which is accepted in LR threads. I really abhor them, so every time I want to report those posts, regardless of whether there is/are 1-4 sentence/s of actual "context" but I'm never sure. And this line under §4 doesn't help either: "Still others contribute by simply making everyone laugh." Memes do make some people laugh, unfortunately.

I thought memes were auto ban? Ive seen several people banned for posting the first part of that post.
Id like to see QQ being bannable, then i dont think id ever complain again
From my experience, staff only are strict on some key points such as bad topics (really opinionated or balance whines), disrespect and racist/sexist/explicit material.

I don't think they are as long as they don't make up the entirety of the post, and with blogs/LR/other such threads where most of the posts are 1-liners anyways, I doubt they care as much.

I think it depends more on whether it amuses all of the mods who read it or not. any number/percentage of memes are acceptable, however each meme raises the odds that a mod will take offence. Also if you have been warned/banned before for memes then it is more likely that you will be punished.
But you are right about the LR/blogs, I think the mods have somewhat given up there, just banning the major offences.
Yeah, that's the problem. Clear(er) guidelines would help a lot so that I know what is worth reporting and what is not.

I remember reporting someone who called a progamer a "fucking noob" but he was neither warned nor banned. So sometimes it's pretty inconsistent.

There is a lot more than just the post in question; they usually look at history, veteran status, contributions to the community etc. Sometimes they just miss things - they are human
