Welcome to the main tournament thread! We have 48 players that will battle it off in the most intense TL tournament ever in history! It is time to find out which community member truly is the MVP in our lives~ The format for this tournament will be pretty much GSL format but with an additional group stage in the beginning.
Here is how voting will take place: Group Stages (Ro48, Ro24, Ro12) - Matches 1/2 - 48 hours to vote Winners'/Losers' Match - 48 hours to vote Final Match - 48 hours to vote
Playoffs - Quarter-finals - 48 hours to vote Semi-finals - 48 hours to vote 3rd&4th Place/Finals - 48 hours to vote

Unlike previous seasons, there will be no separate propaganda thread for this season. So feel free to trash talk, say bad things, sling mud, and generally be really really mean to your opponents in this thread.

On a more serious note, the community is no longer active and most of the BW folks don't even vote in these so it's not surprising that most of the BW folks are out early in almost every edition (BD is the exception but he was highly active in the SCII scene when he won that one time and now he's losing to a new poster ^^)

The conclusion of the winners'/losers' matches sadly means that we saw the first 12 of our 48 get eliminated It's a shame but the community still appreciates everything you guys have done for esports! The final match is on! Who will be the last 12 to join the Ro24? We'll know in 48 hours!
Vote Bigfan! EsportsJohn betrayed SCII (when he was staff) and moved to Heroes! On the other hand, I was extremely faithful to my BW craft and never covered SCII beyond some fun blogs for the community. I would say more but best to wait until John gets in a word first so that it's fair. Hope his power comes back soon.

Yeah, I've only written 46% of the articles in July/Aug and the last three features (Six Pool, Myth of Expectations and Eo Yun Soo). I did four interviews while on vacation in Korea (Leimmia/soO 2x/GuMiho) and 8/10 during the last power rankings. I wrote both previews for the recent GSL final and I've also recapped 83 events since April 26 (That's more than a recap every other day). I can see why one would think I don't do anything.

I kinda threw in the towel on promoting TLCMAT and trying to get votes. I've been posting it to other groups that I'm a part of but between the downtime with the group selection, this thread not being news'd (we lost potential voters/interest and I made Seeker aware of this) and going up against LP staff, my motivation to win plummeted and I stoppd doing that. Also, going up against such strong opponents doesn't help haha.
Losing that much is bad but whatever. TLCMAT is still pretty cool but it's also nowhere as big as it was in the past. I mean, we have folks winning by a single point. Back when it first ran in 2013, we used to have hundreds of votes per match. Still, I'm thankful for anyone who voted me in and helped me get this far ^^
I got a few family members to vote for me in one of the rounds, but otherwise, I didn't make any effort to get anyone to vote for me outside this thread, and I haven't really been that active recently...

ya, activity helps a lot. My votes were all from folks in this community but most BW folks don't bother with this kind of stuff so the majority of us drop out real fast if we get nominated.
