I had a dream the other night that it was a me vs. IdrA finals. He trashed me the first game. Almost won the second...but I came through with hilarious infestor harass then overwhelmed him. Then, in game 3, we just had a hardcore Roach/Hydra/Infestor war in the middle of the map and I BARELY creeped a win.
I was in such a shock that after the match, when we went to shake hands, I hugged him, kissed it forehead, then stage dived.
It was so metal.

What does being gay have to do with SC2?
What this would do is make it look like gay people are somehow a different class of person to non gay people, and so need their own special tournament.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE!!! They are just a people like everyone else, except they prefer people of the same sex. Some people have blue eyes, some people have brown, that doesnt mean there should be blue eye only tournements.
Im not up on whos gay and whos not in the SC world, i dont really care to be honest. But if you are gay and want to be in a tournament, either get good enough to play in GSL / MLG etc.. or find a tournament for your level of play.... JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!

But I've liked this idea that the moment you do something non-hetero normative, you instantly become gay.
I think this is a fear that many hetero men have, that by doing something like dying their hair an effeminate colour, wearing ladies jeans etc that they will be perceived as gay, which is partly self-sustaining (People behaving hereto-normatively encourages other people to conform hereto-normality.)
This is why being gay and being effeminate/camp are loosely associated, because for the gay man, being perceived as gay for doing something effeminate is not the worst thing is the world.
I have pink nail polish on my fingers but its nothing to do with my sexual orientation :D

Honestly, gotta say I agree. If we do have gay tournaments they basically should just be little in-house things and not anything bigger, or we'd just have to make them FABULOUS as a joke.

What stops you guys from playing normal tournaments?
