I wanted a decent MMR so I could hit good games, instead I get a bunch of feeders and toxic players every single game at 5k MMR. I don't know why but in the past 2-3 months my teams have been complete garbage while

Because it would probably mean that would have a better quality of life.

(Definitely not implying that having a higher MMR would make me happier, rather that if my situation was better, raising my MMR would be much easier)

The only measurable stat. Higher is better. No deeper reason than that, though top 200 would be nice (not realistic). I am happy as long as I am in the top 1%. The benefit/time doesn't really interest me past this point.

If I was aiming for top 200 most reasonable way would to be to continue playing in EU. Don't play ranked for a while when I get enough rating that I can lose 13 of the next 15 games in SEA and reach their top 200. Easier than getting in by getting top 200 in EU.

Solely just "improving faster" relative to others. Other than that I don't really care if I lose a game or two but I expect a constant slow rise over time when I put time on the game. I started with "normal" games when I first start playing Dota 2, gradually climb high and very high before the mmr introduced. It is a good feeling to look back and see my 1k mmr games and I improved a lot since then.

I would say penis reasons. I'm only 4k and though I can get decent quality games by playing with my friends, getting to 5k makes you into a pretty big deal.

definately penis reasons. i dont care for my mmr per se (as in i dont want a certain rating) but i can watch myself trying harder if i am not the one with the highest mmr among the guys i regularly play with.
