Does it mean that 1600MHz Memory is suddenly bad?
Is there any low-profile memory that supports higher frequencies than 1600?

It just means that starcraft 2, as a game, works a bit better with faster RAM. 10% ish is more than I would have thought though.

It's not that 1600 MHz is bad, it's just that 2400 MHz RAM is better; the same way that a Haswell i5 at stock clocks isn't bad, it's just that a Haswell i5 at 4.5 GHz is much better.

Most 2400 MHz RAM kits aren't that much more expensive than 1600 MHz RAM kits, though it's important to make sure that your motherboard supports the higher frequencies. Getting faster than 1600 MHz RAM on a B85 board for example isn't worth it for example. Most Z87 and Z97 boards should run faster RAM no problem though.

Try to look for a 2400 MHz @1.5V RAM kit, priced similarly to 1600 MHz if you can. I'm guessing 2400 @ 1.65V would also work.

So you would want this:

http://www.amazon.fr/G-Skill-F3-2400C11D-8GXM/dp/B00COGLBPQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1403846451&sr=1-1&keywords=RAM 2400

Over this:

http://www.amazon.fr/G-Skill-F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL/dp/B004I763AW/ref=pd_cp_computers_1#productDetails

Not sure what your retailer is or I would have used that.

E: Ps, this is quite nice, youtube going to finally reach about 24 fps with 48 and 60 fps supporting coming. about time

Here's the low-profile version of what Incognoto linked to:

http://www.amazon.fr/G-Skill-F3-2400C11D-8GAB/dp/B00CMWRTTY/

The other brands perhaps work similarly and will also have a low-profile version of all their stuff under a slightly different name?

A lot of stuff doesn't perform better when you increase the performance of one part of your system, it's just saying that you can expect an FPS return from running faster memory

Try to look for a 2400 MHz @1.5V RAM kit, priced similarly to 1600 MHz if you can. I'm guessing 2400 @ 1.65V would also work.

There's little reason to run 1.5v and you shouldn't do it when it compromises performance, in the case here i'd probably destroy those modules in benchmarks (tight 2200 c9 vs what is often just loose 2400 c11 with single sided hynix sticks)

That sure doesn't look like low profile RAM, just normal sized.

Compare these:

As for branding, probably Ares just more or less refers to a particular line of RAM that happens to have similarly matching heatspreaders, but I wouldn't expect that to encompass all their offerings of that physical size. Isn't really much available to read on the "Ares" line itself.

Can't find that particular model among the Swedish retailers I looked at.

Would HyperX Fury 1866 be another viable option that is a bit faster than 1600

I think you are mistaking me for Ropid or Craton LOL

Low profile encompasses any modules under 41mm 31mm in height and anything under 20mm would be classified as ULP I guess.

Here's the NH-D15 compatibility guide on Noctua's website (I think that was the cooler that WindWolf wanted):

http://noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=68&lng=en

They say you want 32mm height for RAM, which is "standard height". That Ares stuff is not even that I think. It seems while it has somewhat normal sized heatspreaders, those are still several mm higher than the naked memory stick would be, and that's what's 32mm.

Yep, that's the one I wanted. Seems to perform really well compared to AIO Liquid Coolers

Hey guys I recently got the corsairs 200R case http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-200r-compact-atx-case and it came with two fans an outtake and an intake. The one mounted in the front as the intake is causing vibrations that makes this low hummm and i dunno if i can leave it like it is. Is it possible to do something to the case to lessen vibrations? If i cant fix the vibrations then can i mount the fan on the top of the case (the link has pictures to the case) as the intake fan instead right above my GPU and motherboard ?

For exactly that problem, there are silicone mount thingies like this here for example:

http://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Ultra-Soft-Silicone-Mounts/dp/B001AZJJE2/

Those are intended to replace the metal screws.

EDIT: Looking at pictures of a review of the case, that particular product might not fit. They are designed for a fan where the fan's frame looks like this:

In that review I looked at, the fan has long tube like holes that go through the whole width of the fan. What I linked to won't work for something like that, but there might be something similar that will.

Would it be bad to mount the intake directly above my gpu and motherboard? For some reason the back one doesnt make any noise because its mounted onto the metal cage. But the front one is mounted behind the front panel with maybe .5-1 inch long holes on either side for vents

No idea, but you could simply try it and look at the temperatures and compare.
