Keep in mind people, SC2 doesn't tax GPU on anything other than max settings with AA+Ambient occlusion.
SC2 runs primarily on CPU (and RAM/HDD textures) - therefore anything less than a 2500k (including most of AMDs, 2400 series are virtually identical to 2500 etc, so you can save $40 for 1fps) won't max this game on max settings. The shader setting has about 20-30fps hit per level on CPU alone, it's incredible.
Blizzard in all their wisdom decided not to multi-thread their game, and when asked all we got was 'it wasnt worth it'.
Well, that's one way to artificially increase hardware prices I guess.
