There are several server nodes - see this: https://www.xsplit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1597 And to the person asking: Ping will only measure the latency (delay), not the throughput (speed). Nepsilon's answer is of course correct in that regard ![]()

Well the only thing I can say is I'm pretty sure it is the dual core for you. I know for streaming you can't use a dual core and get good fps really because sc2 takes a lot of the processor and you really need a quad to do streaming and playing at the same time I believe.

I think it will help. As well you can OC ur CPU to 3.0. I had the same one as urs b4 i get the i5. If you are getting the i5 very fast than you can just relax till you get it and solve you issue. Also , whenever you are playing with that ram , see how much used and how much free u have there because 800mhz ram i am not really sure if its good or bad for sc2. Just check that one out (especially if you are running windows vista/7). Edit : The ram should not affect the Dxtory/Xsplit but it may affect your gameplay.

I think I did set it to 2 cores before and still wasn't that good. Which is fine my processor should be here monday-tuesday so I'll just be patient. Its nice to know I can set my quality a lot nicer then I thought considering our uploads are very similar ![]() I thank you in advance for this guide btw as I know once I get that i5 sandy bridge 2500k this is going to be amazing :D

I have some questions that you guys may know the answer for: 1. I play from Japan, so which server of twitch.tv am I connected to? 2. Would it be possible to stream in 60fps as people from above posts mentioned? IPL 3 looked fantastic in my opinion:o [my specs: i7 920@3.2gHz | 6GB ram | 2xGTX 275 SLI ![]() ![]() I did this test with the main server @ San Francisco, CA I have tried outputting 3000kbps but I was getting some stutter - guess I have to lower the VBV Buffer then?

Well there are few options about servers you can pick up but if you are on default than i think you are in San Francisco. And yes you need to lower the Buffer , set it 3000kbps and start lowering till the point its not stuttering. For the 60 fps stream the requirements will double up. For normal 720p 30fps you need around 2500-3000 roughly upload for perfect output but for 60 fps you will need a lot more than that ( i am not sure since i havent tested or anything) , but i assume somewhere around 5-6k kbps which you can not afford for at the moment. My honest opinion about this would be : Stay on 720p , lower the Buffer till its not stuttering, as well stick with ur 30 fps and u will be more than fine. You will also leave space for people with a bit lower uploads to be able to watch you without a problem. You really dont need more than 720p 30fps believe me. If you set it right people can feel it just like they are playing. If you really want to test the 60fps. You will have to double the upload , andmaybe even OC the CPU. My cpu for an example can not hold 60fps i have tested at least that one and the game is just like using xsplit itself without Dxtory. Also bare in mind that stuttering can happen from Bitrate and FPS as well so if lowering the buffer wont help you and your stream will start producing Artifacts than i suggest lowering the FPS. I highly doubt that this will be a problem for your configuration but i just wanted to mention it if it ever happens.

I have tried going up to 60fps on local recording, but it doesn't reach because of the CPU I think, max I get is 52fps.

Set 4 running threads in Dxtory in Advanced tab , set high prio on Dxtory / OC the CPU to 4.0 and u will be hardware ready to go 60 fps. But you will be stopped by your upload speed apparently. I think you will get a lot of pixelization but you can check for yourself. No problem btw.

With DirectShow Output + File Output, the recording starts fine. I can't start a recording with only DirectShow Output. I've tried a few different hotkeys and I'm not sure why it's not letting me record with only DirectShow Output. I am aware of that and i am still trying to figure out what is the problem. I still dont know really. If there is anyone else that has something in mind about this issue , please suggest it here. Thanks

It wont play and just stays at 0:00 I'm able to watch live streams but not the recorded ones. It is same if I try to watch other streamers recorded videos. I tried and i cant watch ur last video either. Check Xsplit when u start broadcasting , make sure u are able to see the numbers of Kbps on Xsplit. For me sometimes when i click broadcast i see like 20kbps, than goes to 10kbps than 4kbps and than the numbers dissapear. With it i know that i am live but my screen is fully black and nothing is beeing broadcasted. I think this is because of how far away i am from the servers and sometimes it may not be able to establish the connection. I might be wrong though.
